🏵️Chapter 40🏵️: Streetlight dancing.

Start from the beginning

"How dare he/she slander a good friend of mine?!" I gritted through my teeth.

Then the next thing that was sent was more shocking. A picture of Dure in a white tuxedo, holding hands with Tina who was looking more like a bride in a wedding dress, smiling so happily as the two both showed off their wedding rings in the photo. My heart sank to the bottom. I stood up and paced around hoping to calm down and tried not to believe what this person just sent.

I don't want to believe that Tina could actually do this to Nora. They're closer than sisters.

A video popped unto the laptop screen, I bent over the chair I had just stood up from just to see play the video.

In the video, Tina was holding a baby while Dure was hugging them both, kissing Tina's cheek and winking at the screen before the video went off.

This is insane. How dare he play two women who happened to be best friends?!!

I could feel my chest burning. My head suddenly started banging and the only thing I could hear was the heavy banging of my heartbeat. I sat down on the chair so I wouldn't fall down since my eyes were starting to go dizzy from anger. My hands began to shake terribly, my jaw was clenching on it's own.

The notification sound from my laptop made me turn my head towards the laptop screen.

"Is this enough evidence for you?"

I shut the laptop, banging it in the process.

"Calm down, Justin. Just calm down. Anger wouldn't solve this. Just calm down". I said repeatedly to myself, hoping my body will listen to me and stay calm.

Alas, it didn't. I had smashed the coffee cup on the wall before I realized it.

"CALM THE FUCK DOWN, JUSTIN". I yelled to myself. So I stood up and paced up and down, trying to calm my ragged breath.

"So, if I should get this straight...I let Nora marry the one man she loved so dearly, the man she thinks is a saint, and her night in shining armor. I'm here, trying to comfort myself that I did the right thing to allow Nora to marry the man of her dreams, only to realize that THE BASTARD HAS BEEN MARRIED HER BEST FRIEND FOUR YEARS BEFORE HE EVEN MARRIED HER AND EVEN HAD CHILDREN WITH HER. ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THAT BASTARD MARRIED NORA BECAUSE OF THE POWER. HOW DARE HE?!!!"

The next thing I heard was another glass shattering before I realized I was the one who threw it.  Normally, talking to myself makes me sane but for some unknown reasons, it doesn't seem to be working this time.

I walked into the bathroom to get a shower with my clothes on. The cold water poured on me, drenching my body up. I tried to keep my mind blank and think of something else, to at least stop my hands from shaking.

"Calm down, Justin. Don't let Nora see you this way. Remember, she has a party and it should be right around this time". I said to myself as I tried to calm myself down.

"The party!" I suddenly remembered, flicking my fingers. I'mmediately, I got out of the shower and went to dress myself up for the party. I'll let everyone in the party know, how disgusting Dure is, before personally confronting Tina.

I adjusted my tuxedo as I walked towards the Villa's entrance. The music wasn't that loud neither was there any disco light seen, all I could see were figures holding goblets formed as shadows on the cyan coloured curtains and two hefty men at the entrance.

I confidently walked towards the men and was about to walk in when the suddenly blocked me out.

"Your invitation". One of them ordered.
