Have you ever woke up to screaming. Not the "yay I'm excited!" Type, I mean full fledged traumatized, heart wrenching screams. That is how I woke up, to my older brother Percy yelling and sobbing about being in Tartarus. Its hard to see your 19 year old brother cry. I really look up to him, after all he's the one who found me a year ago. I looked like every other rebellious 8th grader  black hair with a coloured stripe, combat boots and skinny jeans combo. But what most people didn't know was that my black hair and turquoise streak were natural and that I wore combat boots to hide my webbed toes. Its strange, because Percy nor Tyson have webbed feet but I do. I hate it because they are basically my only powers and some normal people have them as a mutation. I don't have any of those 'I can move water' abilities and I don't have a unique pen/sword.
Anyways, so I woke up to Percy screaming. It has gotten a bit better, he used to sleep walk and cry out for Annabeth his girlfriend. It was going down hill really fast for a couple of months but then something big happened. Chiron allowed Annabeth and Percy to sleep in the same cabin, in the same bunk. Now this only applied to them, and it could only happen in the Poseiden cabin because there's like a billion Athena Campers including Emma, Kristen and Victoria-my best friends.Every night since then I have woken up to either a screaming Percy or a wailing Annabeth.
Annabeth has been gone these past few days, visiting her Dad in San Francisco and boy were Percy's nightmares bad. I honestly don't know why he didn't go with her, after all they are in a seriously relationship. Percy said it was something about having resposibilities and how this "nightmare thing" can't disable him from doing things that should and need to be done. I felt bad, I mean Annabeth is on the otherside if the country probably sobbing and here Percy is screaming about how he doesn't want to drink anymore of the firewater (river Plethegon). Then you have me, shaking him trying to convince him to wake up in the middle of the night or early in the morning. I hate this, it's like an infinite loop of being woken up.
I sigh and push myself off my bunk. I hope no one has been woken up due to Percy. I feel bad for the other campers, some one even made an anonymous complaint about how there have been noises coming from our cabin that has kept them up. It wasn't necessarily the nicest way to express their opinion but hey, if you want to be good in battle, you need some sleep.
Waking up Percy Lately has been harder than usual. The nightmares used to be about fighting monsters now they only consist of Annabeth getting mauled, killed by hellhounds or giants. The hardest part is no one understands what he is going through except for his girlfriend who is on the other side of the country and a moody liason (sorry had no idea idea how to spell that!) between camp Jupiter and half blood named Nico.  Will his boyfriend, tried to get him to talk to Percy but both of them refused, I understand, no one wants to relive that experience....no one.

"PERCY! PERCY WAKE UP!" I scream.
"ANNABETH! IM TRYING! I CANT GET TO YOU! EVERYTHING HURTS, I DONT! NOOOOOOOO!!!" Percy sobs in his sleep, clutching the bedsheets like they're only thing that allows him to live. He's sweating and screaming but I can't wake him up. I was worried that this would happen, that one day he'd just stay in his nightmares forever.
I tried, for hours, nothing is working at this point, so I do the only thing I can think of.
"Chiron!" I bang on the door of the Big House. I hear groaning and hoofs slowly coming toward the door.
"What in the hades do you think you're doing at this hour Ellie?!  Chiron stands there rubbing his eyes, but when he sees the look on my face his expression changes to concerned.
" Percy? " I nod and we start towards the Poseidon cabin.
