A seed falls to the ground. If the conditions are right the seed sprouts and a tree develops and grows. In good years, it grows more. In difficult years the rings are thinner. I cannot imagine that trees agonize about the meaning of life. Where did we come from? Why are we here? A tree doesn't plot against other trees and start wars. I don't see trees that hate and despise other trees. A tree just minds its own business. We humans are different of course. We can be filled with hate and envy.
I don't know if trees are smarter or wiser than we are, but there is much we can learn from them. Live and grow. Be content with what you are. Live in peace with your neighbors. Grow and prosper during the good times. Get by, without complaining, in the lean years. Do not agonize over the meaning of life. Just embrace it.
