It was 11:30 in the night and both Sudha and Sadhna were pacing on the empty street in front of their house. They were worried about their child and getting restless with each passing second.

"Bhabhi, please don't worry. She will be here soon. She had called right?" Puja tried to pacify her sister-in-law but all in vain.

"Sudha please stop with this walking." Pradeep said holding her shoulders to stop her from walking.

"How can't I worry? It's already 11:30 but she isn't here." Sudha said in an worried tone.

"Rohan please call Raj once again. His phone is switched off." Sadhna ordered her son.

Everyone in the Mishra family and Majumdar family were worried sick for kids well-being.

Rohan was about to call his big brother but the sound of bike stopped him. "It's bhai."

Everyone left a sigh of relief seeing one of their child safe and sound but their happiness knew no bound when they saw Riya sitting on the bike behind Raj.

"Riya!" "Raj!" Everyone rushed towards them and saw that Riya was sleeping soundly resting her head against his back and holding him tight.

"Riya? Come on little girl, wake up. We're home." Riya woke up from her peaceful slumber rubbing her eyes and taking in her surroundings.

"What am I doing here?" She asked sleepily. Knowing her sleepy state Raj took it upon himself to clear the confusion.

"I was coming back from office and met Riya on the way, so took her with me." Everyone was satisfied with his answer and the earlier events came crashing down on Riya.

She hopped down from the bike and Raj left with a reassuring nod towards her.

That night the two souls weren't able to sleep. Their heart thumping loudly and their mind running miles with hundreds and thousands of thoughts.

Riya was thinking about the incident that happened tonight. She doesn't wanted to cross that road in fear. She was a strong woman but it's a sick reality that women were still unsafe in our country.

With these thoughts she was sipping on her second mug of coffee sitting on the arm chair in her balcony.

In the other balcony Raj was observing her each and every move. The way her small hands held the coffee mug. The way her plump pink lips which looked so soft touched the ceramic material taking small sips of that bitter drink which left a rich taste on her tongue.

But the way her eyebrows drew in deep thought was what irked an unsettling feeling in his heart. He wanted to swipe that worried look off her beautiful face. And with that in mind he tapped on his phone screen calling his Little Girl.
