The breakfast table was filled with mouthwatering aroma but none of them were eating. Reason? Riya.

After waiting for another five minutes finally the princess of the house was running down the stairs.

"Good Morning." Riya grinned happily at her family and took her seat. Everyone replied smiling at her.

At one head of the table Pradeep sat with his wife, Sudha on his left and his daughter, Riya on his right. On the other head sat his younger brother, Sandeep with his wife Puja on his left and his daughter, Ruchi on his right. In between Sudha and Ruchi sat Ujjwal with his mother and in between Riya and Puja sat the youngest  of the Mishra family, Prachi.

"Agar aap ab thori  der mein nahi ati toh main behosh hi jo jati." Said Prachi dramatically spinning her head. Everyone laughed at the drama queen.

"Agar behosh ho bhi jati toh kya? Di ko koi kuch thori bolta." Ruchi added in a venomous tone. And again the jovial mood of Sunday morning was spoiled.

Ruchi was a few months younger than Riya and tried to compete with her in every aspect. She was always reminded that she is younger than Riya and she should respect her. Riya wasn't fond of this idea but to respect her culture she didn't denied it. She wanted people to respect her from their heart not forcefully. She considered Ruchi and Prachi as her own younger siblings and loved them a lot.

Sandeep and Puja were not pleased with the behavior of their daughter and always tried to make her understand but to vain.

"Koi usse iss liye kuch nahi bolta kyun ki wo raat mein der tak padhai karti hai aur baki din job." Puja glared at her older daughter with stop-right-now eyes.

Sensing the tension Riya decided to break it. "Ok, Ok. Ab jaldi se khana shuru karte hai warna main behosh ho jaungi. Im starving." And just like that Sudha and Puja started to open the lids and everyone served each other.

Riya looked at her plate lovingly. Food was her weakness apart from books and coffee. You can lock her in a room with books and coffee and she will not bother you for hours.

"Haye, Sunday ko garam garam paneer k parathe achar aur dahi k saath. Insaan ko aur kya chahiye." Ujjwal said taking the first morsel of paratha in his mouth. (Paratha is a stuffed chapati with lots of oil and butter. Achar is pickle and Dahi is curd.)

"Coffee." Riya said in an instant.

"Huh?"

"Bhai coffee ke bina subhe ki shuruat kaise hogi."  Riya said as a matter of fact.

"Maine kaha insaan ko kya chahiye lekin tu toh chudail hai na."

**(In an Indian home a brother can't help himself from calling his sister Witch. And if he didn't called you that then you are adopted.)

Everyone laughed at the playful banter of the siblings. Riya was cooking up some kind of smart reply when the doorbell rang.

"I'll check." Riya stood up to confront the person who disturbed their family time.

"Kitchen se apni coffee bhi le ana."  Sudha told her.

"Okay." Riya left the dining area to open the front door and was met by her favorite uncle.

"Vijay uncle."
