“What’s the meaning of these?” I asked her.

There’s a lot of bottles of sleeping pills and some of strong pain killers. I saw it on her drawer. I don’t want to be mad. I know she have reasons.

“Are you sick?” I asked again.

“Wala lang ‘yan. Minsan hirap akong maka tulog.” Sagot niya na parang hindi big deal ang mga ito.

“Shane, may mga side effects ‘to. Please stop drinking this.”

Tumango siya.

“I’ll go to my unit. Gusto mo sumama?” aya ko.

“May pasok ako e. Sige mauna na’ko” she looks pissed.

Is it about the pills?

I sighed, iniwan niya lang ako. Well, I shouldn’t expect anything. Mas mabuti na nalaman niyang gusto kong humingi ng tawad. Pero… may iba. Maraming nag bago. I suddenly feel I didn’t know her.

Parang kagabi lang nag kaliwanagan kami. Tapos ngayon lumabo ulit. I can feel that she’s not comfortable since we woke up.

I’m so lazy. I always ate bread or just deliver some foods. I can’t even cook a egg. Nasusunog pa potcha.

Hey, are you free for lunch? -This is Stanlly.

I texted her number. Well, we exchange earlier. Before I saw her meds. I sighed. There’s no response. Maybe she’s busy at the moment.

I also send her the address because she refuses me to fetch her. Tapping my fingers on the table while staring at my phone. Is she okay? What if something bad happened to her?

“Dada!” my eyes widen when I saw Migo running towards my direction.

I stood up, he hugged my leg.

“What are you doing here? Where’s your mother?” I asked worriedly.

“Why are you here dada? Let’s eat pizza!” he jump in joy.

I kneel so we can be on the same level.

“Listen, I have a important meeting today. I’m going to meet my gir—” pumikit ako ng mariin, “my friend.” I continue.

He pouted, “Can’t I join po?”

I sighed, “No, sorry. Maybe next time.”

“Migo!” Lara called her son while running.

“Sabi ko na ‘wag kang tatakbo e!”

I glance everywhere. Most of the costumers are starring at us.

“Sorry po.” He apologize.

“What are you doing here?” I asked her.

“Uh, gusto ka kasi niyang makita. So I went to your office. But your secretary said your not in there. Then we saw you here alone.” She explained.

“Well, I have something to do. I’ll just come to your unit.” I straight forwardly said.

“Uh?” she look shock, “o-okay then. We’ll leave now.” She hold Migo’s hand as I stand again.

I felt dumb when I saw Shane standing just in front of us. She look confuse but it vanished. After a second she look so empty, emotionless.

“H-hey,” I catch her attention and walk to her passing the two.
