Chapter Eight-The Prophecy

'I don't understand. I though I could go back to my own world after the story ended so why am I still here?'

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Y/n? Are you awake? Camilo is here and is looking for you." A voice said, it was my mom.

"Yes Mamá! I will be there in a second!" I replied.

I started looking for something to wear while I got lost in my thoughts again.

'Why is Camilo here? Is it because I never told him my secret? I should probably tell him'

I finally found the outfit that I was looking for and went downstairs. I saw Camilo sitting at the table talking to my mom.

"Um, hey Camilo! Why are you here?" I asked.

"Well, I thought I could take you to walk around the town and just talk," He winked.

I took a chair and sat in front of him, "oh, sure!"

"But after breakfast," my mom said, putting both of her hands on my shoulders.

After breakfast, we started heading out, I waved goodbye to my mom and started going out the door with Camilo. We were talking while we walked around the town. Then, he took me to a hill that is far from the town but not far enough to exit the Encanto.

"So," he started, "what were you gonna tell me last time?"

My palms started sweating again, I couldn't help but to feel nervous. I don't know if he will believe me.

"Oh okay so um," I cleared my throat, "basically, I'm from another world."

He looked at me confused, "what? Another world?"

I nodded, "Yes, another world. The day of your brother's gift ceremony, I woke up and I realized that I had teleported into Encanto."

He was still confused, "what do you mean 'teleported' ?"

"So basically, in my world, this whole story is a movie," I said.

"A...movie?"

I nodded, "a movie, it's something that you watch on TV—anyways, this is the reason why I know a lot about this family, I even knew that Casita was going to fall before it even happened. None of this was supposed to be real until I came here."

He started frowning, "does...that mean that you have to go back?"

'Wow, is that the thing he is worried about right now?'

I nodded, "I do, I just don't know how. I had a whole different life before I came here. I thought that if the story ended with a happy ending, I could go back to my own world. But it didn't happen and I don't know what to do anymore."

"Wait. Does that mean there is somebody else living the life that you had before? Before the gift ceremony, I used to see you a lot around the town but you acted very differently than how you act now..."

My eyes widened, "you have a point!"

"So, how are you going to get back?" He asked.

I sighed, "I don't know. I don't even know how I got here so it will be hard to figure out how to go back."

We sat in the grass in silence, thinking. Then Camilo said, "do you think Dolores knows anything about it?"

I thought about it, "I don't think so. But it doesn't hurt to ask."

"Does this mean that you will stay?" He smiled.

I smirked, "not for long, Madrigal."

After our conversation, we started going back to the town. We found Dolores with Mariano, I think they were on a date.

"Camilo, I think it is best if we didn't bother them right now-"

"HEY DOLORES!" He called.

'Will he ever listen?'

"Camilo, you don't need to talk so loudly remember?" Dolores said, clearly annoyed.

I chuckled nervously and put both of my hands on Camilo's shoulders, "actually, we were about to leave!" Then I whispered to Camilo, "let's not ruin their date Camilo."

He laughed nervously, "yes hermosa/o, We're leaving now Dolores!"

After we left, we started talking while walking around the town and looking at things.

"Would you like to eat lunch at my house today?" Camilo asked.

I thought about it, I do want to see how Bruno is doing. I gasped.

"BRUNO!" I exclaimed.

"What do you mean 'Bruno'?" he asked.

"We can ask Bruno to see my future!" I replied.

"You're right! You could get answers from him!"

I took his hand and started running to the Casita. When we got there, I was about to knock, but then Camilo said, "uh, Y/n?"

I turned around and looked at him, he was blushing a lot. I panicked and dropped his hand.

"O-oh! I'm sorry!" I laughed nervously.

"Why? I already know you love me," He smirked.

I rolled my eyes and knocked on the door. Isabela opened it.

"Oh, hi Y/n! I'm Isabela." She smiled.

I smiled back, "hi Isabela, nice to meet you!"

She signaled us to come in, me and Camilo sat on the couch. We sat there in awkward silence, not knowing what to talk about. Then I remembered about Bruno, "do you know where Bruno is?"

He shrugged, "I think he's in the kitchen with Tia Julieta."

I got up, "then let's go!"

We went to the kitchen and we found Bruno, Julieta, and Pepa talking. I didn't want to interrupt but it was the only way, "hello, um, can me and Camilo talk to Bruno for a second?"

Julieta nodded and we walked back to the living room with Bruno. I turned to him, "nice to meet you Bruno I'm y/n, Camilo's...friend."

He smiled, "oh nice to meet you y/n! I'm Bruno."

"I have heard that you can see the future so, can you do that for me?"

He looked at Camilo confused but then looked back at me and said, "uh—sure."

"Great!"

-Time Skip-

We were waiting outside of Bruno's room while he was seeing my future.

Then the door opened, Bruno handed me the vision and he turned to Camilo, "care to explain what this is?"

The vision showed me on the left side and Camilo on the right but there was a wall between us.
