"If you are calling to invite me to the wedding sorry to disappoint l won't be coming"Gabriel said.

"It's not about that okay but l just have one question"l said in a low tone.

"What?"

"A few hours before Ace died you called to tell me something which as you say it was not important what was it?"l asked.

"Well the Russians cancelled the agreement on our three Mafias becoming Allies with them and Inessa as you might obviously know is in Mexico as we speak"he said leaving me speechless.

"I know you won't ever forgive me but are you still my second in commander?"l asked curiously.

"Yes only because what happened is personal it ain't business"he said and l felt relief wash over me.

"Thank you l have to go"l cut the call.

It's been three days since l snuck out the house and saw the other side of Ryan but l kinda like it and eversince then l've been investigating Ace's death in a room l recently learnt about.

In every room there are cameras except for the basement were l've been spending most of my time lately.

Unlike most dusty basements the basement that l was currently in was in perfect condition infact it was just like my room but bigger.

So far what l've discovered is that everyday Ryan goes out to town for meetings which he never talks to me about and now that l know lnessa is in town l know she's the ones he's been meeting and they worked together to kill Ace.

I went into my room and l changed into black sweatpants and a man's cream hoodie and l tied my hair back so that l would appear as a man.l put a cap on my head and l wore glasses.

I didn't look like me and that was all l needed to follow Ryan who left a few minutes ago.

"Linda please watch the children l need to go to a friend's house"l said and she nodded in response.

Because l couldn't use one of Ryan's car as he would notice, l called Angelica and she was waiting right outside the gate for me but there were so many security guards.

I walked to the gate and there stood about five security guards all heavily armed.

"There's a fire in the house"l screamed and they all left their stations running inside the house and l took that as an opportunity to get out the gate.

I hopped into Angelica's car and she drove so fast as if we had extra lives all while listening to music which l had put on full blast.

As we were about to reach our destination l lowered the volume.She parked in an abandoned parking lot and we went over the plan.

"We're going to follow Ryan as a couple so we have to be all touchy touchy and get distracted then you 'accidentally' bump into him and place this hearing device in his left jersey pocket"l said handing her a tiny device.

"Okay let's go"she said. Angelica was wearing a blue sundress with a pair of sandals and a black wig with green lenses and a lot of makeup so that if Ryan finds the hearing device he wouldn't know the identity of the person who placed it.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and she put her head on my shoulder and our heads interwined.

"He's going to see her in a hotel so we have to go to that hotel",l whispered in her ear and she giggled to make it seem as if l had told her something romantic.
