Glynda wanders into YN's study and sees him sleeping on the couch.

Glynda: YN: I'm not feeling well.

YN: What's wrong, do you want a cup of tea?

Glynda: That'd be nice.

YN: I'll put the kettle on and get the doctor, have a lie down on the couch. (Looks at Johanas) You, protect her.

Johanas barks and then climbs onto the couch and rests his head in Glynda's lap.

YN: VELVET.

The patter of feet is heard and Velvet appears in the doorway about a minute later.

Velvet: You called?

YN: Glynda isn't feeling too well, I'm going to put the kettle on and then get a doctor, I'd be grateful if you'd look after her until I get back.

Velvet: Sure, no problem

YN: Thanks.

YN then goes and puts the kettle on and goes to get a doctor.

It takes about twenty minutes for YN to get back with the doctor but when he does, the doctor puts their minds at ease.

Doctor: Ms. Goodwitch, Mr. LN, I have good news for you, you are going to have a child.

YN: Really, can you tell if it'll be a boy or a girl?

Doctor: Not with what I have now, I'll ask that you come to my office tomorrow so I can run some additional tests.

YN: Sure, we'll come in tomorrow. Is there anything that you'd recommend for the duration of the pregnancy?

Doctor: Cooler weather and clean dry air, and don't exert yourself too much, rest and relaxation is what I would recommend.

Glynda: Thank you, we'll take proper care.

YN: Thank you doctor.

Doctor: No problem, I look forward to seeing you two tomorrow.

YN: Velvet, see the good doctor out will you.

Velvet nods and escorts the doctor to the door and then goes back to Glynda and YN.

Velvet: You're having a child, oh that's so nice!

Glynda: It is, I've always wanted to be a mother, but will I be a good mother, am I ready?

YN: Parenting is like riding a horse, it isn't something you can learn how to do well from a book, you're going to get thrown about, and in the end, it is all down to experience.

Glynda: Words of wisdom, but what are we going to do in regards to the doctor's advice as to go to cool dry place?

YN: I'll get a place off in the planes where we can relax and you can be safe and sound while we wait for our child to be born.

Glynda: Wait, what do you mean you'll get a place?

YN: I mean I'll buy a homestead in the northeast and we'll spend a few months there.

Glynda: I can't just take a few months off, I have to teach!

YN: You told me the other day that you haven't taken a day off in the last three years, by my calculations you should have three months of vacation accumulated.

Glynda: But as an administrator I can't just drop off the radar for months on end. And besides, I'll want to take time off after our child is born.

YN: Fine, I'll go out and buy a place, that'll probably take a month or two, and then you can come out and join me.

Glynda: I guess that makes more sense. Wait, how can you be so calm about planning to buy a ranch?

YN: Two reasons, it's what's best for the baby, and I don't have to worry about the cost.

YN kisses Glynda on the forehead and then goes to the real estate agent who he bought his manor from.

Realtor: So, you are looking for a ranch in the northwest?

YN: I am indeed.

Realtor: What kind of ranch? Cattle, horse, sheep?

I'm thinking of a horse ranch.

Realtor: Well, we have several ranches on offer.

YN: How much land are we talking about?

Realtor: The largest has the potential of being 15,000 acres.

YN: What do you mean?

Realtor: It is currently 7,000 acres but there are nearby plots and ranches for sale that would raise the acreage to 15,000.

YN: what would the cost be?

Realtor 200,000,000 lien for the 15,000 acres.

(Conversion rate of $1 to 1 lien)

YN: Doable, what's the property like?

Realtor: It has streams, plains, hills, valleys, forests, all beautiful as one would expect. It also generates 1,000,000 lien each year. However there is the likelihood that you can increase that amount as the properties are a bit mismanaged.

YN: And the house?

Realtor: Thirty rooms, five bedrooms, eight bathrooms. And near the house there is a stable for ten horses and a workshop.

YN: I'd like to see the place, would next Wednesday work for you?

Realtor: We'd need to set off on Tuesday, but that should work.

YN: Great, I'll meet you here next Tuesday.

The two then shake hands and go on their way.

YN then heads to Glynda and tells her the news.

Glynda: So, you are going to be buying a ranch?

YN: I hope to, I'm going to visit the property this Tuesday, I should be gone for a day or two.

Glynda: Alright, but we are going to the hospital tomorrow. And if it isn't too much trouble, I'd like Velvet to come with us.

YN: Why?

Glynda: She was with us when we got the news, she deserves to be there at the next step.

YN: Fair enough, she deserves that at least.

The two then go to bed together and wait for the next day, when the doctor will tell them of their child.
