Chapter 10

Gabriel's POV

Annalise and I looked at each other and we hid at the back room.

Si kuya and his girlfriend.

"What are they doing here?" She asked. "I don't know either. Do you have your phone with you?" I asked. "Oo, wait." Annalise answered sabay

She started recording.

"I can't believe dad believed it was the enw secretary. She'll regret rejecting me." He said. "He doesn't know na tayo naman talaga ang gumagastos for everything I like!" He added. "And I finally got rid of my brother! It's time to celebrate!" He said. "Hoy babae! May alak ba kayo?" He asked Nanay Luisa. Hindi na ako nakapagpigil.

I attacked my brother by punching him, bringing him to the ground. "Dude stop!" He said. I didn't care.

"Ikaw! Ikaw ang dahilan ng lahat ng 'to! You'll pay for this! At ang kapal ng mukha mong hindi respetuhin si Nanay Luisa!" I said, continuing to punch him. He finally got the strength on punching me back and both of us rumbled on the floor.

"Tama na!" Nanay Luisa shouted. We all looked at her. "Ricky! Uwi!" She said. I quickly stood up. Fixed myself, catching my breath.

I looked at Nanay Luisa and she was hugging Annalise. Annalise was crying. "Kalma na iho, takot si Annalise kapag may nag rarambulan sa harap niya." Nanay Luisa said. Bigla akong naalimpungatan. "Sorry Annalise." I said. "Okay lang, you didn't know." She answered.

"What's good is may ebidensya na tayo." She said. I nodded, hugged her. And went to get her phone.

We found it broken. It must've fell down the time I attacked kuya or I don't know. Pero delikado. Baka magsumbong si kuya at lalo pang lumala ang sitwasyon. Dad will never believe us.

"Paano na?" She asked. I didn't know what to do either. "I'm sorry Annalise, I broke your phone, nawala pa yung kailangan natin." I said. She held my hand. "It's alright, maybe it's not yet the time?" She said. "Hindi na ba maaayos ito?" Nanay Luisa said as she picked up the phone and tapped on it.

"Hindi na ata tita, grabe ang basag oh." Annalise answered as she pointed the cracks. "Sure?" Nanay Luisa asked again. Annalise nodded.

"You need to rest, Gab. Baka bukas okay na. Ako nalang ang hahanap ng puwedeng pag rentahan natin ng iba kong co-workers. Ako na rin mag-aabot ng pagkain sa mom mo." She said. I nodded, still speechless.

"Sama nalang ako sa'yo sa hospital." I said. She agreed. "Oh saglit lang, tapusin ko lang ito." Nanay Luisa said as she went back to baking. I sat down for a while and Annalise gave me a glass of water.

"Hinga ng malalim, Gab." She said, trying to calm me down. Nanginginig pa rin ako sa galit kay kuya. I can't believe he will do it to his own brother.

"Oh heto, libre nalang 'yan." Nanay Luisa said sabay abot ng mga pagkain. "Hala tita, ito po bayad." Annalise said. "Anna, okay lang." Nanay Luisa said. Annalise smiled and invited me to go out na. I nodded.

"Mag-iingat kayo!" Nanay Luisa said. Annalise waved goodbye.

"I'll drive." She said. "No, ako na." I said. "Gab, please. You need to rest. Don't worry, safe ka sa'kin." Annalise said. I trusted her and she started the car.

We're on the middle of driving and I don't know why I asked.

"Bakit ka nga pala natakot kanina?"

"Oh? Ayun ba? Well, let's say na trauma ako." She said. I looked at her.

"Bata pa ako n'on. Nagka misunderstanding si dad and yung friend niya I don't even know if he's a real friend. Nauwi sa suntukan, rambulan until my dad's friend grabbed a kn1fe and did something to my dad, alam mo na siguro 'yon." She said.

"And that made my dad be brought to the ER, sobrang na trauma ako, I'm very close to my dad since I never knew who my mom was growing up. Andun si tita at tito kasama ko sa labas and gladly he was ok." She added.

"It was that time I almost lost him, kaya takot na takot ako kanina kasi baka may mangyari sainyo, buti nalang naawat kayo ni tita." She said.

"I'm sorry, nadala lang talaga ako sa galit ko kanina kaya umatake nalang ako bigla, nasira ko pa ang phone mo." I apologized. "As I said, don't worry. Hindi mo alam. Ang mahalaga, safe kayong dalawa, may mga pasa nga lang hingi nalang ako ng first aid kit mamaya sa hospital." Annalise said.

"Pero what's not okay is, nawala yung ebidensya natin. Argh, why?!" I said. "Shh huy, kalma lang." She said.

"May mga pasa ka ba?" She asked. "Oo." I answered. "Sige, mauna ka nalang sa room ng mom mo just tell me what number is her room and I'll go ask for a first aid kit." She said. I nodded.

"Are you bleeding?" She asked again. "I don't know, I haven't checked my face yet." I answered. "Sige, I can handle it later." She said. "Mom's room number pala is 107." I said. "Noted sir." Annalise said sabay tawa. She looked at me quickly.

"Seryoso ah? Nagpapatawa ako eh." She added. I smiled a bit. "Yiee! Tatawa na 'yan!" Annalise said. "You can't make me laugh, no one can." I said. "Oh eh nung nabuhusan ako ng asukal kanina bakit ka tumawa?" She asked. I remembered what happened kanina and I started laughing.

"Oh wow-" She said and we both laughed.

We arrived the hospital. Annalise parked and I gotta be honest, ang galing niyang mag park.

"Magaling ka pala mag park, why don't you drive?" I asked as we got out of the car. "Dad wouldn't let me, kahit na si Angel." She said. "Who's Angel?" I asked. (Ako po 'yon sir Gab hehe, char.)

"Oh! Haha! My little sister." She answered. "Ohh!" I said. "Dad's kinda strict pero ayaw naman din namin ni Angel, we're scared. Pero here, I faced my fear." She said. We went inside the hospital and I told Annalise na mauuna na ako sa room ni mom. She agreed. She talked to a nurse and asked for a first aid kit.

"Gabriel my loooves!" Oh shi- no, no, no!
