Chapter 5

Gabriel's POV

I didn't expect Annalise to knock. "Pasok lang." I said. "Mr. Rodriguez, I need help here." She said. "Just call me sir or Sir Gab, you don't have to say my whole surname." I said. "Ano bang help 'yan?" I asked. "Ito." She said sabay abot ng isang papel.

"Oh ito lang ba? Just retype these sa computer, may folder na doon, doon mo ilalagay yung file kung saan ka nag retype." I explained. "Gets?"I asked. She looked confused at first, but she then nodded and thanked me. But as she was about to go out, she turned back and looked at me. "May questions ka pa?" I asked. "Yung bayad mo kahapon?" She said. Oh shi- I forgot about that.

I grabbed my wallet and got out five hundred pesos. I gave it to her. "Thankies! Gotta continue my work." She said.

Sipag ah.

I'm still sleepy at ayoko namang matulog sa trabaho, I can't just skip work because I'm sleepy. I continued working.

ringgg!!

Rick is calling...

"Answer." I said.

"Yow what's up brooo!" Bungad ni kuya sa'kin. "I heard you have a new secretary huh?" He asked. "Yes, is that all? I have some works to do." I said. "Woah woah! Wait! Pakilala mo ako." He said. "Sure sure, you can even go here now." I said. "Alright! On my way! Thanks bro!" He said then hung up.

Probably I'll be just the matchmaker of Annalise and Kuya, I'm not Annalise's type HAHAHA.

After a few minutes I heard a knock on my door. "Pasok lang!" I said. "Sir, may bisita po ata kayo, Ricky Rodriguez?" Annalise asked. "Oh, si kuya. Let him in." I said. She nodded and went to get kuya.

"Hey brooo! Where is she now?" Kuya asked. I'm scared, baka 'pag naging sila masasaktan lang si Annalise, kuya's a playboy dude, hindi na nga mabilang ang mga ex n'on.

"Yung nag assist sa'yo, siya 'yon." I answered. She looked at me, shocked.

"S-siya 'yon?" He asked. I nodded. "Sir, pinapabigay ni Julia." Annalise said sabay abot ng papel. "Bukas ang pintuan so, pumasok nalang ako." She added. I thanked her and kuya blocked the way out of the door. "Uh- padaan po." She said. Magalang naman siya, mataray lang talaga.

"Hey, I don't know your name, can I call you mine?" Kuya asked. Cheesy.

"Well, I'm Annalise and you don't have to call me that."She said. BWAHAH buti nga.

"Now if you don't mind, I still have some works to do, I'll say it again, padaan po." She said. "Hayaan mo na kuya, padaan daw oh."I said, placing the paper in a clipboard.

"I'm Rick, Gabriel's brother. So, are you free tonight?" He asked. Blink twice Annalise if you need help HAHAHA.

"Not actually, I'll probably do more works at home mamaya." She answered. "Next days?" He asked. "Nope." She answered. "Kailan ka ba puwede?" He asked again. "Probably never, since may trabaho na ako." She answered.

I cleared my throat and I said. "Well, every weekend-" I saw Annalise looked at me, maybe telling me not to finish my sentence?

"Every weekend may trabaho pa rin kuya so, maybe she'll be very busy na." I said. "Argh. Whatever. See you around Annalise!" He said sabay alis. I looked back at my computer. "Sabing Anna lang eh." She said sabay reklamo.

"Thank you." She said as she looked at me. I looked at her as well, our eyes met. Mahuhulog ka talaga sa mga mata niya.. There's silence and I said. "You're welcome, my brother's a total playboy, be careful." I said. She nodded and went outside.

Am I falling in love? No Gab, you're not, no, no,no. Continue working..

Tanghali na and it's time for a lunch break. The food ate Melly prepared? Kinain ko nalang for lunch.

"Sir! Kain!" Pag-aya ni Romeo. "Sige lang, salamat! May pagkain na ako dito." I said. He nodded and I continued eating.

"Ah Romeo- Si Annalise pala?" I asked. "Nasa cafeteria ate sir, kasama si Bea." He answered. "Tawagin ko po?" He asked. "Ah 'wag na, tinatanong ko lang kung nasaan siya." I said. He nodded and went outside.

I went outside my office para kuhain yung mga nagawa na ng ibang staffs. I saw Annalise and Bea walk inside. I didn't realize I was looking at her for a long time.

"Sir? Sir? Sir? Ito na po ang gawa ko." The girl said. "Ah, oo oo sorry, natulala lang." I said. She looked at the direction I was looking at kanina. "Kay Annalise po?" She asked. I shook my head. "Nah, may lamok lang, balak ko sanang itaboy." I said.

"Lamok ba talaga?" Aivan asked. "Baliw. Lamok nga!" I said. "Thank you for the earlier submission." I told the girl.

She smiled and went to excuse herself.

"Ikaw pinsan palusot ka pa. I know you like Annalise." He said. "Psh, stop. I'm focusing on work." I said as I went to my office. Aivan sat on the chair on the other side of the table.

"Dude, if you like someone tell
her already. She might be stolen by others. Sayang pa." He said. Halos same ng sinabi ni Nanay Luisa sa akin kagabi. "What if I told that person I liked her but she doesn't like me back? Kakainin ba ako ng lupa? Hindi, so no." I answered.

"May point ka, pero atleast you get to tell her you like her diba? Oh baka may chance ka pang magustuhan?" He said. "Are you seriously pushing me to confess to her?" I asked. "So you like her?" He asked.

I nodded, trying to be busy by moving papers na wala namang nangyayari.

"Go confess then, there's nothing wrong in trying bro." He said.

Napaisip ako ng saglit. Maybe Aivan's right. Should I?

"Natulala ka? Think about it dude." He added. "Well hindi ko pa naman gaano kilala si Annalise." I answered. "Get to know her then. Take her on a date, make friends with her." He answered. Napaisip ulit ako.

"Goodluck bro, ako ninong ah." He said sabay alis. "You're crazy!" I said sabay namin tawanan.

Should I confess? What about my role as a CEO?If I fail being a CEO of this company, Dad would probably compare me again. Worse, tanggalan ako ng trabaho. What about the arranged marriage with Yssa? What about mom?

What did you do to me, Annalise? The day I met you, I can't get you off my mind. I'm not obsessed I just, I've never been inlove like this. I usually set aside having relationships and focus on my work but you, you're making me crazy, Annalise!
