Chapter 7

Gabriel's POV

"Sir? Sir?" A voice called me. I opened my eyes to see Romeo trying to wake me up. I smiled and said I'm okay and after that I felt Annalise's head is on my shoulder, she's hugging the pillow I gave her.

So all night we're just leaning on the wall? How did we do that?

"Psst, Romeo! Is she still asleep?" I asked Romeo quietly. He looked at her and nodded. How can I stand up if she's still sleeping?

"Patulong ako, ilagay natin siya sa upuan." I said. Dahan dahan naman naming inangat ang ulo ni Annalise and I carried her to her seat. Her head was on the table.

I placed the pillow para comfortable siya.

"What happened sir?" Romeo asked. "Na lock kami kagabi, masyado atang soundproof na hindi kami narinig ni kuya guard." I answered. "We tried using our phones pero both are low battery." I added.

"Nag almusal na po ba kayo sir? May binili po ako kanina." Romeo asked. "I'll go freshen up muna, pakibantayan si Annalise." I said. Romeo nodded and started to fix his things.

I went outside to go to the comfort room. I freshen up a little bit and went back to the office. I grabbed my wallet and went to a store to buy breakfast, naawa naman ako kay Romeo pang kanya lang yung almusal niya.

As I was riding the elevator it stopped on a floor. Aivan walked in. "Oh! Ang aga aga mo ah!"He said. "Long story." I answered. "What are you doing in this floor? Pang meeting lang dito ah?" I asked. "Ah, I got some clipboards and folders." He answered. "Paakyat ka na ba?" He asked. "Pababa actually, I'll go buy breakfast." I answered.

"Padala na rin ako pre, ito bayad." Aivan said sabay abot ng pera. The elevator went down and I got out of it. I know what's Aivan's favorite breakfast so, yea.

I started my car and drove to the restaurant where we usually buy our foods at.

I arrived and mula sa labas kita na ang mahabang pila, sikat kasi 'to and yung mga pagkain dito affordable. I parked my car and went outside.

I went inside the store at sabi nung isang staff. "Sir, pa wait lang po ah? Mahaba na po ang pila maaga palang." "Don't worry, naiintindihan ko naman." I answered. He smiled and continued cleaning the tables.

After a few minutes it's my turn now.

"Good morning! What can I get you- Gabriel! Bro!!" It was my another cousin on mom's side, Paul. "Hindi mo na ata ako kilala?" I asked sabay tawa. "Pasensya na, ang daming tao I didn't expect you to visit here." He said. "The usual?" He asked. "Yep." I answered.

"Two coffees, dalawang Tapsilog." He said sa microphone. "Oh- and one longsilog." I said. "Ooo nice, alright! Pahintay nalang." He said. I gave him the money and went to wait on the side.

After a couple of minutes my order arrived. "Order 48!" Paul shouted. "Dito!" I said sabay kuha ng order. "Enjoy your meal!" He said. I smiled and went outside to look for my car. I decided to bring the foods to the office and go gome for a while, I don't have my charger eh.

I went inside my car and drove back to the office.

Just in time Aivan's walking inside the building. "Aivan! Pakidala 'to sa taas." I said sabay abot ng mga pagkain. "Yung isa diyan kay Annalise 'yan. Is she awake already?" I asked. "Not sure pre, I'll let you know mamaya." He answered. "Uuwi muna ako, I'll go get a charger." I said. He nodded and went upstairs na. I drove home. Baka nag aalala na rin sila ate Melly doon, hindi pa naman ako nakapag-paalam sa kanila.

I arrived at the house and si kuya guard is sleeping, again. Buti nalang may susi ako.

"Gabriel! Saan ka nagpunta? Nag-alala kami sa'yo!" Ate Melly said as she was walking towards me. "Sorry ate, na lowbat ang cellphone ko I wasn't able to text you. Pero okay lang po ako, promise. Na lock lang po ako sa office kagabi, kaya doon nalang po ako natulog." I answered. Ate Melly hugged me. They treat me like her son, her real son passed away kasi nung 6 years old daw ako.

"Sigurado ka ha? Nag-almusal ka na ba? Paghahandaan kita." She asked. "May pagkain na po ako sa opisina ate Melly, kukuha lang po ako ng charger ngayon at maliligo na rin po siguro." I answered.

"Oh siya sige sige, halika na." She said sabay namin pasok sa bahay.

I went to my room and charged my phone while I'm taking a bath.

I'm done taking a bath and I saw Aivan's message. "Gising na si Annalise pre, umuwi muna siya para mag-ayos." He said. "How about the food?" I replied. "Kinain na niya." He said. "Osige, thank you. Magbibihis na ako I'll go back there." I said. "Sige pre, ingat." He replied.

I turned my phone off and I went to get my clothes.

Tapos na ako magbihis at bumaba na rin ako. I saw ate Melly sweeping the floor. "Hi ate Melly, alis na po ako." I said. "Oh sige, mag iingat ka ha?" She said. I smiled and waved goodbye, I went outside and started my car.

Reminder, meeting with the Rodriguez.

May meeting nga pala kami mamaya nila dad and kuya, ano ba sasabihin nila at need pa mag pa meeting?

I drove to the office.

I arrived and umakyat na rin ako. Nasa bahay pa ata si Annalise and she's not yet on the office. "Uy pre!" Aivan said. "Good morning sir!" They all said. "Good morning." I answered. "May meeting pala tayo with Dad and Kuya mamayang 7:30 am." I added.

"Noted po." They all answered. I nodded and went to my office. Parang same routine lang everyday, pasok sa opisina, trabaho, kain, trabaho, uwi.

"Uy Anna!" I heard a staff said. I looked at my glass door, still sitting. Annalise had arrived. Ano kaya sasabihin n'on sa'kin?

"Morning Gab! Ah shi- sir Gab." She said. "Morning Mi a- Annalise." I said. "Ito pala ang bayad sa pagkain, Aivan said you bought it for me." She said.

"Thank you." She said as she handed me the money. She left and I just continued working. Pero deep inside, grabe na ang tibok ng puso ko.

"Sir Gab? Pasa lang po ako." Camille said. "Sige, palagay nalang sa clipboard sa kanan mo." I answered. She nodded and placed the paper on the clipboard.

"Oh by the way, magsama ka ng isa sa mga co-workers mo and maghanda na kayo sa meeting room, malapit na yung time for the meeting." I said.

"Sige po sir." She answered. She then got out and of the office as well.
