Chapter 63

I looked at her with my eyebrows raised, "really?"

She nodded, "if I expected them to be at each other's throats even in their sleep, I was wrong... Jungkook's hand was wrapped around Taehyung's waist and he was breathing into his neck...one of tae's hands was in kookie's hair while the other was draped across his chest to hold you-"

"He's used to sleeping with a lot of pillows" I explained.

"It was adorable" she said, "all of you looked so domestic, save the heavy snores from Taehyung.."

I grinned, "I'm used to them now.. anyway, what's with both of them? See, the sexual tension is REAL and it's not something of the present.. I mean, I've seen both of them.. They weren't particularly fond of each other but then they got closer and then drifted apart again but-"

"But what?"

"Taehyung had a heavy Jungkook infatuation phase.. Jungkook was his gay awakening.."

"I'm pretty sure YOU were his gay awakening" she replied, "he probably didn't want to complicate things between you two by confessing his feelings for his best friend-" and just like that she stopped talking, narrowed her eyes and faced forward again.

"What's wrong?"

She shook her head, "this isn't about me" she said under her breath but before I could ask her, she started speaking again, "I know I'm being intrusive and this isn't really my place but I want to know about what happened."

"Well, if I don't know about it and you don't know either... do you think anyone else would know?" I asked, "I mean, aren't we the closest people to either of them?"

"Im sure someone knows.." She sat back in the seat and sighed, "I think it was a bad breakup... kookie had a really rough patch some time ago..but I didn't have the heart to force him to tell me"

"Nah, Taehyung doesn't date.. that's just not him-"

"He's willing to try for me too, isn't he?" She suddenly asked.

"You-uh- you knew about that?"

She pursed her lips, "I didn't.. I just needed to confirm.."

"Oh shit"

"Nah it's okay..apparently I'm the only one who hadn't realised that yet.."

"So uhm- what now- " I cleared my throat, "how do you feel about it?" I blurted out...I was just testing the waters..

She took a deep breath, "I don't know.. we weren't talking about this though...where has this conversation steered to-"

"If he asks you out-" I have no idea why I was continuing it, "will you go out with him?"

"Jimin—- my best friend and your best friend have a romantic history.. and your best friend apparently has feelings for me.. I can assure you that I'm not thinking about going out with him right now-"

"So it's possible in the future?" WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!

"Let's just skip this topic entirely, please"

I nodded, we had reached the university, "so you want to know about their past?"

"And I need your help with it"

"I'd love to help you out... "

Her face lit up, "thank you so much" she squeezed my hand which was still on the steering wheel and I knew that my face had gone red.. If she noticed it, she didn't point it out... thank god....

"but what if you don't like what we find out?"

"It can't be that bad.. can it?"

"There's gotta be a reason why he hates him so much" I said, "Jungkook started bearing Tae's presence only because of you.. he literally can't stand him-"
