It had been a whole week since Maddie came home. Already she had settled back into her own room and moved all her clothes into her walk in wardrobe. She spent most her days in the lab or in the gym, only really ever leaving the house to go on a run. Maddie even got to she Nat again. When she was Peppers assistant, the two became very close and Maddie saw her as an older sister. Sometimes Nat would find herself sparring with Maddie while they caught up on what Maddie missed, Nat making sure she left out certain information.

Tony however, was trying to figure out a way to tell Maddie about the certain information. If Tony spilt everything to her at once, knowing Maddie she would start to feel guilty for leaving and work herself into stress. Tony didn't want that. As much as he wanted to keep her separate from Iron Man, she somehow found a way to become part of iron man.

"You called me?" Maddie questioned as she walked into the living room. Tony instantly stood up from the couch and rubbed his palms off his trousers.

"Yeah.. uh please sit down".

"Why are you acting weird" Maddie asked as she sat on the couch infront of him.

Tony scoffed. "Me? Weird? Good one MadDog".

"Just spit it out Dad". Maddie rolled her eyes. With a deep breath, Tony sat across from her and leaned forward a bit.

So there it was. He explained everything that happened, trying to say everything slowly so she could comprehend. He started with Killian and him kidnapping Pepper. Then went on to explain Ultron and how he came to be. Next he told her about him and Pepper taking a break but reassuring Maddie that Pepper wasn't gone for good. Lastly, Tony told her about the Sokovia Accords and spoke to her about what it meant and who was for or against it. After minutes of silence from Maddie, Tony spoke up.

"Mads please say something"

"Why didn't you tell me over call?".

"I didn't want to worry you kid, it's just you've been son focused on SHEILD and you were becoming an independent woman. I couldn't let stuff like this ruin it."

Eyes stuck to the floor, Maddie stayed silent.

"I must go to the Vienna International Centre to sign, do you wanna come with?". Tony asked her with a soft, comforting voice.

"No. Thank you. I..um.. I still have stuff to unpack. I'll just stay here". She smiled back, finally looking up from the floor.

"Ok. The plane is leaving in about an hour so you will have the house to yourself. Ask FRIDAY if you need anything.  Just, stay out of my lab... please kid".

Maddie smiled again and nodded. Soon she was saying goodbye to her dad and was home alone.

She started her day by cleaning her room, the place pretty much spotless when she finished. After that she heated up leftover pizza from the fridge and settled on the couch to watch a movie. Throwing on Legally Blonde, Maddie sat back in the couch and ate her pizza in silence.

Four movies later, Maddie was bored. Since she was band from the lab for the few days her dad would be missing, she had nothing to do. Mainly because, all her equipment was still in her dads lab. Thinking about it for a while, Maddie contemplated going in to mess around. It couldn't hurt to explore. Plus, it's not like Tony would know anyway.

Jumping from the couch, Maddie made her way down the long hallway and outside her fathers lab. Tapping in the right password, she pushed open the door and strutted inside.

She spent around 2 hours In there, tinkering with one of her dads prototype suits and trying to upgrade it. She took a break and looked around the room until something caught her eye, something blue and electric almost just situated in the corner of the lab.

The device intrigued her. Unable to help her curious nature, she slowly approached the table it sat on. It was almost as if it was calling her. She could have sworn she had no control over her legs as they moved her closer and closer.

Now standing infront of the the device, Maddie starred in awe. She had never seen something like it before. She knew it was wrong but she stuck out her hand. It was almost like slow motion. When her hand made contact with the rod, she started to feel different.

Instantly, her hand felt like it was burning. Trying to pull away but it was like a magnet. Her forehead was forming little bubbles of sweat as her leg shook slightly. It felt like lava running up her veins. Screaming In pain, Maddie could finally let go and stumbled back.

Everything became blurring all of a sudden. Maddie's head spinning at 100 miles an hour. Feeling dizzy and lightheaded, she tried to move towards the door. But failing miserably.

Like a shot, Maddie had passed out and was now out cold on the lab floor.
