Chapter 20: Potato

"My turn?" Taehyung asked, raising his eyebrows. "Ummm...Have you been married before?"

I shook my head no.

"Can you dance?" Jungkook asked me.

"Stop. Now." Hobi shot him a death glare, which I didn't really understand.

Jin quickly took over before things could get too awkward. "Do you have any siblings?"

"Nope. Just me and my dad."

This time, Yoongi held up his hand to show that he was passing on his turn.

"Do you want to move to South Korea?" Joon asked.

I shrugged my shoulders and nodded towards Hoseok. "We discussed it the first day we met, but haven't really talked any more about it. But if I'm being honest, I would move to the North Pole as long as I got to be with Hobi."

Hobi's head turned towards me so quickly that I was worried he would get whiplash. "Seriously?" He asked, and I nodded. "But you hate cold and snow."

I shrugged one shoulder at him. "But I love you more."

He leaned over and kissed me again, then pressed his forehead into mine, not caring that his friends were all watching us. "I don't deserve you."

I shrugged at him again. "But you've got me anyway."

He chuckled and gave me another quick kiss before we both turned back to see that the guys were all staring.

Taehyung quickly jumped in with his next question. " What's your favorite thing about yourself?"

"Ummm....my eyes."

"They really are pretty," Hobi said. "I've never seen someone whose eyes were mint green before."

"What's your least favorite thing about yourself?" Jungkook asked, jumping in with his question.

"Umm...I...my..." I could feel the heat rising up my neck and then my face, making me completely beet red. "I...I have to use the restroom. Please excuse me." I jumped up and almost ran from the room, I went into the kitchen, then headed up the back stairway and into my room before slowing down and taking a deep breath.

I wasn't prepared. I should have known that question was going to come next after what Tae asked. Why did I freeze like that? I could have just told them. It's not like it wasn't completely obvious by looking at me. I'm fat. And no, I don't mean a size 4 whining about how eating half a donut makes her feel bloated and fat. I am a plus-sized girl. It's not like I wasn't ever aware of it, I just tried to block it out of my head most of the time, and went about my life. I had always been like this, for as long as I could remember.

There was a knock at the door, but I didn't answer it. When it came again, and I still didn't say anything, the knob was turned and Hobi was standing there. He shut the door quietly behind him, then walked over to the bed to sit down next to me. He didn't say anything for a minute or two, but eventually, one of us had to talk.

"Ellie?" He cautiously asked. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," I told him. "I'm fine."

"You're lying, Gongjunim," he said. "We've been over this before. I know you. I can tell."

I sighed at him. "Are you going to sit there until I tell you?"

He gave me a small shrug. "No. I came up here to check on you. I wanted to make sure that you're alright, because I care about you, and I love you."

"Oh..."

"But I am here if you want to tell me what's going on in that pretty head of yours," he said as he reached out to trace his fingers down my arm.
