I woke up with the bed feeling empty. I sit up, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

Damn, I helped you last night, and you're just an asshole.

I'm getting out of bed. I head to my room to get ready for the day. I decided to wear black leggings and the Ezra hoodie that he gave me, leaving my hair natural and wavy.

I brush my teeth before going down the stairs. "Auntie, you're finally awake!" Max exclaimed, running up to me. "Good morning to you too." I say ruffing his brown hair.

"Hey, I work hard on that." He whined. I raised a brow at him. "Okay, okay, I didn't, but I'm a little boy; you can't judge me." He grabs my hand and leads me up to the dining room.

I love this kid.

"You sit next to me today." Max pulls out a chair for me, pointing to it. "Sit your big booty down." He snaps, causing me to giggle.

"Hey big head." Leo says, smacking Max the side of his head. Max goes completely still for a second. His eyes darkened.

This mother fucker has seen red.

Max pulls out a nerf pistol out of fucking nowhere, throwing it at Leo's head.

Smack*

"You little bitch!" Leo shouted, turning around. Max's eyes widened. "Jesus, help me." He mumbled under his breath before bolting down the hallway, with Leo following.

He prayed to God.

I can't help but laugh. Kate just rolls her eyes. "Where's Ezra?" Marissa asked. Psst, don't ask me.
Octavius just shrugged his shoulders.

"He's in a bad mood." He says. Marissa nodded, turning to me. "Why don't you go get him?" I think about it, then give her a nod.

"Ezra." I sing out, opening his office door. His back was facing me. The office is dark. "What Do you want?" He Grumble.

Hangover got his ass.

"Breakfast is ready." I tell him. "I don't want to eat." He growled. I stare at him slowly a
uneasy feeling washes over me. "Did I do something?" He scoffed, turning to face me.

His stare is deadly. "You're so naive." He chuckled darkly. "What's your problem?" I snapped at him.
He stepped around his desk, causing me to step back.

His eyes showed a bit of regret, but were instantly replaced with a hardened expression. "Did I do something?" I pleaded for anything, even if it was bad. I needed an answer.

"Grow up, Nevaeh." He rolled his perfect ocean blue eyes. "Why are you being like this?" My chest tightened.

"It's just me. What did you think I'd change for you?" He said it with an evil chuckle.
