Drista POV

This dumbass child got us cornered.
Great.
George knocked my hammer out my hand and kicked me straight in the chest. I crashed into Mom. Fire radiated from behind us, where the WaveRider stood sinking.

"H-hey George, so listen we never actually called you a pants wetter. It's just a misunderstanding honest."
I rambled on. His eyes were glowing as he lifted his hand. The water from the river slowly lifted from its bed.
Great.
I'm going to die by drowning.
That's so stupid.

"Darling?"
Mom whispered. I looked up to her. She smiled softly.
"Yeah Mom?"
"Love you kiddo."
She hugged me. I hugged her back.
The water started shadowing over us in a large wave. We'll die on impact.
"Love you too Mom."

A hiss opened my eyes.
There stood Sapnap, hands raised and sweat on his forehead, slicing through the wave with flames.
Y/N's E/C eyes landed on us.
"YOU'RE NOT DYING TODAY! LETS GO!"

I latched my hand onto Mom's arm and started running. The water started falling down.
We won't make it!

The sound of water falling on metal rang out.

I glanced up. The entire WaveRider stood on its side, creaking. I whipped my head to Y/N. She held both hands up.
She's using her metal ability?! I thought she couldn't anymore.
My answer came as her arms shook violently and her knees buckled.

I raced forward.
"Mom! Get her out of here!"
Soldiers started flooding into the dock. A shadow leapt down from a street lamp. Glinting stars and daggers flashed in the dim light as Minx flight off the swarm.

Y/N grabbed my arm. Her hair fell out of its braid.
She looked up at me, smiled.
That's hot.
"Forget me. You get Minx and yourself out of here we'll catch up."

She stood up and without looking threw her dagger straight into a soldier's heart.
"AUNT PUFFY! START FIRING!"
I watched as my mom exhaled and grinned. She whipped her two pistols out and started raining hell fire.
Minx grabbed my hand.
"Let's go!"

She started dragging me.
"Where are we-"
She brought her fingers up to my mouth.
"Shhh."
We scurried around trash in streets and kept away from the lights.
A figure landed in a run down park.

"Come out come ouuttt~"
My brother's voice cooed out.
He's going to find us!
I held my breath.
He stepped closer...and closer...
"DREEEAAAAMMM!"
George's shrill scream rang out.

Lights from houses nearby started to switch on.
"Damnit..."
He mumbled, a few feet away from where Minx and I hid.
He spun around and made his way to his partner.

I exhaled sharply and breathed heavily.
"Oh my gosh ohmygosh ohmygosh..."
I said over and over. Minx shook my shoulder.
"Hey! You're too loud. We have to go-"
"Where?!"

Sapnap POV

My shoulder spasmed in pain. Aunt Puffy fired two more shots.
"One bullet left."
Y/N nodded. Her eyes seemed to look for something, then she found it.

"Sap get the barrels there! Puffy you too! I'll keep water boy distracted."
Before I could object she swung her scythe and attacked George.

"He's being controlled by Dream. Just like you can be."
"What? You're crazy."
She shrugged.
"Maybe but the point is that he takes control over you once he touches you. You don't even remember it."

"So why can't he control you?"
She absent mindedly placed her fingers on the scar across her eyebrow.
"I'm a freak remember?"

A soldier stabbed at me but I swerved. Unhitched don't blade and cut him down.
Puffy rolled barrels with me, along with trying keep soldiers at bay.
A crack of lightning jumped everyone off their feet. I looked back to Y/N.

Sure enough there Dream stood, between her and George.
"Y/N!"
She slowly backed up.
Dream swung at her feet but she was quick and dodged it.
Then started sprinting for us.

George lifted his bow.
He never misses!
I snatched the barrel from Aunt Puffy.
"Hey! What-"
I lifted it over my shoulders and threw it.

As it left my arms my shoulder bones slid over one another.
SHOOT!
But I reached out and felt the wood of his arrow in the air.
Burn.

Obediently the flames sparked and lit the arrow on fire.
I reached and grabbed Y/N's arm. I pulled her to me and shielded her from the blast.
I once again brought my good arm up.
The blast was energetic and chaotic, wanting no master, but I focused and managed to get some of the heat to avoid us.

Puffy grabbed us both. We ran through the alleyway. Y/N looked back.
"AUNT PUFFY NOW!"
The white haired woman whipped around and shot her last bullet into the barrels which exploded.

We ran. We ran so fast I can't remember where we were going only that we needed to get out.
The southern curve of the river and it's dock came into view. Two figures on a boat waved us down.
"JUMP NOW!"
Y/N shouted at us. Puffy grabbed me. Picked me up.
Woah...
Woah woah woah!

She threw me and I slammed into the dock of the ship. Next tumbled on Y/N and then Aunt Puffy herself.
"H-hold on... hold onto something!"
Once more Y/N lifted her hands.
But she's too exhausted.
She can't do it!

The metal of the ship lurched forward. Her E/C eyes shut right in pain and she fell to her knees again.
"Enough Y/N!"
"SHUT UP!"
She spat as the boat lurched forward with more speed.

Drista manned the wheel while Aunt Puffy got her maps out on deck and Minx crawled to the crow's nest.
"We're too far for them! She can stop!"
Minx's voice came down. Y/N released her hands, shook and then fell forward.

I reached out and grabbed her before she hit the deck.
"I got you Sweetheart. I got you."
