He smiled gratefully and took a swig of the cool beverage before handing the bottle back.

"thank you noona."

"take it easy out there Shotaro." She said as he walked away.

The foundation felt thick and uncomfortable on his face. He put in his earpiece and strapped on his mic before putting his jacket back on and meeting up with the rest of his unit.

"okay guys, we're on first so we gotta really show a good performance. I gotta rush off as soon as ending fairies start so I can get to the earthquake unit, so you guys just stay out there till they wave you off alright?" mark said as the group huddled together.

They all nodded in understanding.

"hey Shotaro?" haechan suddenly said as he looked at the boy.

"yes?"

"are you okay?"

"yeah why?"

"you don't look good taro."

The rest of the boys looked Shotaro up and down and nodded in agreement.

"he's right, taro you look really pale." Xiaojun said.

"are you feeling okay Shotaro?" mark asked eying the boy concerned.

"I feel fine hyung, don't worry."

Mark was unconvinced.

"Shotaro if you're sick you can sit out, we wouldn't want you to get worse." Doyoung said giving him a serious expression.

"no, no I'm fine you guys, come on, we go on in three minutes, let's focus on the performance." He said before he walked over to the entrance of the stage.

Doyoung tapped mark and jungwoo on the shoulders.

"let's keep an eye on him, if he looks sick get him off the stage."

Jungwoo and mark nodded before they all went over to the stage preparing to go on.

"okay, Universe unit get into your positions, curtain up in 20 seconds." The manager ordered.

They quickly got to their spots and prepared to start the performance.

Throughout the song Shotaro looked exhausted but he kept a big stage smile on his face and focused on executing the dance perfectly the last thing he wanted was to mess up the first stage of NCT's comeback.

They were at the bridge of the song when Shotaro was hit with a dizzy spell, his eyes rolling into his head for a second before he blinked the dizziness away and stabled himself.

Jungwoo made eye contact with mark and mark nodded indicating he saw Shotaro almost black out.

Mark had to do his rap next, so he had to forget about Shotaro for a second and focus on getting all the words right.

The song was almost over, Shotaro could barely hear the music in his ears, the sound being muffled and loud. The stage lights looked blurry, the faces of the fans blending into one big mass.

His legs were shaking, sweat was pouring out of him and he felt like he was on fire.

He felt nauseous and dizzy, and everything seemed like he was in a hallucination, all the lights were blurry, his members faces unidentifiable.

The song ended and the boys began their ending fairy poses.

Mark and doyoung quickly rushed over to Shotaro and ushered him backstage while jungwoo, Jeno, jaemin, and yang yang did their ending fairies.
