I say, shaking a table lamp around at the furry creature, BEN laughs and smacks his thigh, the creature runs to him and sits down, its tail wagging as BEN pets its bloody fur.
"That thing is gross as hell"
BEN snorts, running a—now blood covered—hand through his blonde hair.
"An ugly dog to match an ugly guy"
I put my table lamp down and roll my eyes, plopping down onto my bed, I frown.
"Hey, dude?"
BEN nods.
"We're like- friends.. right?"
I ask, he quirks an eyebrow.
"Uh, yeah..? What made you think we weren't?"

"I don't know- I tend to overthink things"
