We were now a year old.
Kits start to smell the second there born. We could all smell. At six moons old, your able to hear. We all could hear. At a year old, you should be able to see. We could all see, but Jay kit couldn't see. We gave him another moon and just thought his sight was going to come late. But we are now at 14 moons old, and jay kit still can't see.
So sorrel tail ran out of the nursery just now to go and get leaf pool.
She had come back with leaf pool, fire star, bramble claw, and squirrel flight. Leaf pool sat down beside jay kit.
She started testing him. She told him to come to her. He did. She checked him out, just to make sure that he was alright and that it was just his sight.
Then she had finally made a diagnosis. When she had made her diagnosis, her voice was really shaky, and there seemed to be something troubling her, something that was bigger then what was wrong with jay kit. She then had finally said:
"He's blind."
