crystalline tears washing up on beach shores,
a constant reminder of love's greatest sorrow,
never able to find the one she was searching for.

banished by neptune for saving a life,
confined to the depths of the ocean blue,
punishment for causing such reckless strife,
never to resurface nor find her captain anew.

from her lover she was forced to part,
doomed to the dark until death comes to pass,
salt kisses & sweet nothings & two broken hearts,
never forgetting as she sheds tears of sea glass.
