Itto | Morning Heartbeats

On this bright and early morning, Itto is currently attempting to drag you out of bed. How he even got into your house in the first place... you're not sure. But then again, it's Itto, so he likely climbed up the exterior of your house and came in through the slightly opened window that you propped open last night due to the scorching weather.

"Come ooon, wakey wa—w-woah! What's the glare for? I mean, I know you don't like it when people wake you up, buuut I'm not just any person, y'know?"

You reply with an even more intense glare. The Oni's eyes widen as he defensively puts up his hands, dropping the blanket over your body. "Geez, babe. I guess I gotta remind you that this guy here," he says as he points to himself with a thumb, "is your one and Oni boyfriend."

Since you're no longer glaring at him (though you're still frowning slightly), he continues with a grin. "And you, my lovebug, guess who you are?"

"A person who desperately needs some damn sleep. Good night." You shut your eyes again and snore loudly in hopes of him getting the cue to leave.

You hear some whimpers from him, followed by some footsteps and the close of the door. Smiling, you mumble a "finally... at peace" before snuggling deeper under the warmth of the covers.

"Sike!" Itto shouts, pulling the covers off of your body.

You shield your eyes from the bright sunlight permeating in the room as the Oni takes the opportunity to jump on the bed and wrap his arms around you, pulling you on top of him to rest against his bare chest.

"Itto, what the hell?!" you shout, attempting to wriggle out of his sturdy grasp but to no avail. He grins at your futile attempts, enjoying the evident anger written across your face.

You hit his chest several times, moving around aggressively, before stopping your antics with a loud sigh. Your cheek plants on his chest, and you shut your eyes, listening to his steady heartbeat.

"Aww, c'mon! Already giving up?"

The lack of your usual snarky comments makes him pout as he turns his head slightly to peer at your face: your eyes are closed, and you look at peace. Although you look exceptionally adorable, he can't help but tease you some more.

"Whaat? Is your boyfriend's awesome chest that warm and cozy? You must like listening to my heartbeat too, huh? I mean, nothing's better than hearing your boyfriend living and breathing, am I right, or am I right?"

You raise your head at his false (or so you try your hardest to convince yourself) accusations. "Sh-Shut up! It's not like I'm laying against your chest because I want to. I'm forced against my will here. And it's definitely not because you're warm or anything like that..."

"Oh? Really? Then why are you looking away?"

"What does me looking away have to do with anything?!"

"You only ever look away when you're lying."

"Liar."

"And I'm preeety sure you didn't deny about how nice listening to my heartbeat is."

"You're obviously remembering wrong..."

A warm smile graces Itto's face as his expression toward you softens. He reaches forward to brush a finger against your cheek, startling you, and just as you're about to scold him, he raises his head a bit to plant a kiss on your forehead before moving to your nose and then your lips, where he lingers the kiss at.

His heart melts at your flustered state as you're stumbling over your words. You'll never admit it, but you adore his kisses a lot and often want to kiss him; you can never bring yourself to do so though, so any moment where he initiates the kiss makes you immensely happy. Sudden surprise kisses in particular embarrasses you the most, and so because you're unable to say much at all, you resort to your usual phrase.

"Itto, what the hell?!" You hit his chest, but he grabs ahold of your hand with a faint smirk shortly after.

"That translates to... hmm..." He pretends to think. "Oh! You want more kissies, right? Well, why didn't you say so?"
