Another sedentary day for you. Days like this have been occurring much more often, not that you mind, of course. While you enjoy assisting Albedo with his studies and experiments, you won't deny your love for lazy days.

Sure, you receive some breaks from the alchemist, but for some reason, these kinds of days are the best days, and it's not often lazy days occur since the alchemist is constantly on his feet, working hard on a daily basis to find new solutions.

"Here are the chips and dip you asked for, (Y/N)!" Paimon exclaims, placing the bowl onto the small table beside you. "I made sure to get a lot for us."

"Thank you, Paimon. Here."

You pat at the space in front of you where there's a mini, space-themed blanket set out, along with two pillows also of petite size. She rushes over without a second thought and drops into the fluffiness with a soft plop, laughing shortly after.

"Thanks!"

Once your friend has settled into place, you ask the question you've been meaning to since you got home from completing your usual commissions.

"Now... what did you want to, oh so eagerly, show me? It better be good. I didn't almost fall off the mountain trying to finish things quickly for nothing."

"Hey, that isn't Paimon's fault. You get too excited and hasty sometimes, you know... but, anyway!"

She flies under the bed and pulls out a familiar sketchbook, beaming as if she just found a prized treasure.

"Make sure you don't let Paimon's efforts go to waste," she says as you carry the object to the bed. "It took a lot of dragging to bring it here."

Surprised, you're left with an open mouth and widened eyes. How in Barbatos did she get her hands on one of Albedo's many sketchbooks, let alone this specific one? The only way is if he was out searching for some plants or something of the sort for his studies and experiments, but lately, he has been cooped in the workshop, hardly leaving the place aside from getting some fresh air.

As if she read your mind perfectly, she snickers and gives a simple reply of, "A genius never shares their secrets...!"

She shifts her gaze back to the sketchbook. "Come on, let's see what Albedo's been sketching. There has to be something else other than some hilichurls, right?"

"I'm pretty sure they are the only studies of interest. Maybe some plants too..."

Your mind keeps going back and forth on whether you should take a look at his sketches; it's leaning toward no as doing so will be invading his privacy, especially since he didn't give you nor Paimon permission to view his works.

Then again, it's not like he would allow you guys to, anyhow. For some reason, he's particularly secretive about this sketchbook. But, your curiosity is rising every minute that's ticking by. Should you look through his sketchbook? Perhaps take a small peek?

"Paimon, I don't think we should look. It's rude and—what?!"

Within the first page is a beautiful sketch of you smiling. Out of everybody in Mondstadt, did he really choose you to be the subject of interest?

Surprising, as the light blonde-haired male has never shown an ounce of interest in you. You're merely his temporary assistant since Sucrose is on a long vacation right now. If anything, you've always thought Sucrose is his possible love interest. The two lovers of alchemy are always together, so it's a plausible thought.

Your friend continues to flip to the next page, where mini sketches of you in various expressions and poses are presented.

There's a sketch of you eating what seems to be Mondstadt Hash Browns, another of you drooling in your sleep, and one of you looking ahead in excitement, your hands clasped together.

"I... remember that..." you mumble, pointing to the last sketch, "...I got really excited since I thought I found a unique plant, and I was telling him all about it, but it turned out to be one of Sucrose's failed experiments."

You hum in thought. "Weird... he seemed disinterested back then. Ah, well, to be fair, I did tell him while he was busy with his work..."

"Clearly he's good at hiding his true feelings. Look at all these sketches!" She flips through the pages, taking the time to pause on each one to admire the lovely art. "He's obviously taken an interest in you, (Y/N). So much that he has every detail down perfectly..."

"Um... does he observe you that closely? Paimon thinks it's a little creepy, but maybe that's his way of showing his interest in someone?"

Whatever the reason may be, you can't hide your happiness as a warm smile graces your face.

School is starting tomorrow sadly, so updates might be sporadic. On a better note though: ALBEDO. I was super tempted to play his banner, but I successfully resisted. If he comes back, I'm likely going to pull for him... maybe... there's also Zhongli who I also adore lol.
