We see the Xeros campsite from a far range view. This then cuts to seeing the Dalek watching over from the top of the tower, and seeing the Robomen do their rounds, patrolling the enslaved Morok workers. We then view Moid, Ten, and Bal working at the wall again, doing their useless digging. The three of them talk quietly.

Bal:

I have been watching the others carefully. They seem to be huddling closer together. It must mean that the word has spread after all.

Ten:

You have not told us yet. What is the plan of action?

Bal:

Simple. We create a diversion for the Robomen. They all come over here, and when they are all together, we strike and take them down.

Moid:

And the Dalek, and the reinforcements?

Bal:

We get behind the Robomen when the Dalek fires its blast. The Robomen are big men, and you've seen how easily they can cripple a man even with their bare hands.

Ten:

And the reinforcements?

Bal:

We will have weapons by then to defend ourselves.

Moid:

Then what of our people after? We have been disgraced. Our Empire and legacy ruined.

Ten:

At least we can begin to rebuild the planet and make this world our own again. It will take time, several generations. But it can be done.

Bal:

That's the spirit, Tetajen.

Moid:

And how will this diversion be created?

Bal smiles.

Bal:

As a matter of fact, sir, it will be by us.

Moid:

I admire your bravery for victory.

Bal:

Thank you, sir.

Roboman:

SILENCE! SPREAD OUT! YOU ARE TOO HUDDLED! MOVE!

The Moroks begin spreading out in the camp. They are still close to the people they were but give a greater depth of space between one another. It's in enough distance to quietly talk with themselves.

Moid:

And when does this begin?

Bal:

Shortly. When I feel that everyone knows. I expect they do.

Moid:

You know what will happen if we fail.

Ten:

It's our only chance. Otherwise we will be stuck here for eternity. Or until we are entirely exhausted.

All three of them look at one another with doom filling their faces. We then return to the TARDIS again. The Master remains at ease when he relaxes at the back still, whereas the Doctor and Jo stand beside the console to operate the ship.

Jo:

Doctor, do you still think we can really trust the Master?

Doctor:

Ah, well, you know the answer to that just as well as I do.

Master:

I'm afraid you will have no choice, Doctor. All of what I have told you could be a pack of lies.

Doctor:

Oh we are certain you are telling us the truth.

Jo:

As the Doctor said, you're only doing this for your sake.

Doctor:

Well, he has been of great service to us so far. He seems to know everything that the Daleks are going to do.

Jo:

What I'm saying is that if the chance comes for you to destroy us or the universe, you wouldn't have a second's thought, would you?

Doctor:

Don't worry, Jo. We'll make sure the Brigadier and his troops keep their eyes on him. They can't be fooled by his tricks. Especially not with a trigger happy Sergeant Benton waiting around.

The TARDIS begins landing, as the groaning materialization suggests. The glass column begins to slow down.

Well then. Shall we go?

The Doctor, Jo, and the Master then all leave the TARDIS, back to UNIT HQ...
