Syntax Error

Preface

I'll tell you a secret. The reason why I can't dedicate much of my time to continue writing my new novel is that I am committed to reading a lot of books especially professional education, general education which includes languages, mathematics, and so on. Also, social sciences such as Philippine, Asian, and world history, economics, Philippine constitution, sociology, anthropology, and geography. In other words, I am currently learning a lot of facts for my career advancement.

So, I'd come up with the idea of sharing with you what I have re-learned. Even though, we all know, our schools especially our teachers already taught us these. You might want to review your lessons way back years ago or perhaps you are currently studying the English language - this book is for you.

Perhaps, this phrase is true, "sharing is caring."

Why Syntax Error? Looking back, I have written thirteen novels and some flash fiction stories. I can't deny that those works of mine are full of errors especially the syntax. I want this book to be my future reference. I want to look back here whenever I decided and choose to write again or to do some editing with those previous books I wrote.

Anyhow, whether you're writing novels like I do or simply working under someone's company, in any kind of work, employers hire people for their skills. Employee's curriculum vitae must have different skills especially in communication such as writing skills, reading skills, speaking skills, and presentation skills to name a few of the needed basic skills in the company.

To start with, you must know some basic rules of the language. Developing a solid foundation in grammar and vocabulary will not only help you create your sentences correctly but will also make it easier to improve your communication skills in reading, listening, writing, and speaking.

This book, Syntax Error, will give you a glimpse into parts of grammar, emphasize different language skills that will not only meet the needs in listening, writing, and speaking but will also provide a foundation for more advanced language which lies ahead.

Like the other books, this book presents the facts about language in a simple and direct manner. Short, clear explanations are given and are immediately supplemented with examples.

Moreover, this book was more like a compilation of my research that was purposely collected to serve as perfect reference material for students, professionals, and Filipinos from all walks of life, so please do note that I do not own most of the content of this book. I will include references in the last part. Hoping that it could also be valuable to you.
