daydreaming is a beautiful
yet painful escape from reality
before i go to sleep every night
i have to daydream or it takes
forever for sleep to come
sometimes i like to pretend
that it's me and him
going on a car ride at night
hiking through a forrest
taking his son on a trip to disney
walking the streets of a small town
or just simply laying next to each other
i want to take you to jamaica
the one place you said you'd love to go
and maybe i will
just not in reality
because my daydreams will stay simply that
dreams
