DEREK'S POV

Of course Amelia shows up out of the blue. I say out of the blue, she's run away from a fiancé in LA. It means me and Meredith have a baby sitter. Meredith doesn't really trust her but Amy wants to see how the whole kids and family thing works. I trust her with Zola and Bailey more then I'd trust y/n. Meredith is still at work so it's just me and Amy with the kids.

- Amelia : Have you heard from y/n?

- Derek : Not recently. A few months ago maybe. Said she was getting help

- Amelia: Charlotte said she had might have checked herself into a place after she had a breakdown in front of Cooper and Addie. This was the other day apparently

- Derek : So she would be in there now?

- Amelia : Call Addie and ask her yourself. Last time I spoke to y/n she was high out of her mind and had been out of the hospital 3 days. She told me she wished I had died Derek. I don't want to keep asking about her

- Derek : She told me she wished I had been shot instead of our dad. I was 12-

- Amelia : She wasn't even born. She never met him. She's angry about never meeting her dad

- Derek : Why are you standing up for her?

- Amelia : She's still our sister

That's thing thing about y/n. She can tear up out family by just being mentioned. It's purely because Nancy and Kathleen refuse to believe she could change. Our mother and Lizzie are somewhat tolerant of her but don't want to see her until she changes. Amelia and I just want to help y/n but she keeps pushing us away.

- Derek :  Addie, can you talk?

- Addison : Erm yeah. I've just put Henry down for a nap. What's up?

- Derek : How's y/n doing? Me and Amy haven't heard from her in a while

- Addison : She's fine. She told me she was updating you. She's not home at the minute. She's out with some friend Molly

- Derek : Last we heard she had gotten checked into a place

- Addison : She works 4 days a week and babysits Henry on Sunday's so me and Jake can go out. She stays at Molly's house on a Friday morning until a Saturday night

She's fine Derek. Your little sister is fine, right? Addison is looking after her, making sure she's alive and sober.

- Derek : Are you sure she's not doing drugs or hurting herself at Molly's?

- Addison : Derek, she goes to therapy twice a week and meetings 4 times a week. She comes to me when she has urges. She's fine but I assume she feels like you and Amelia won't believe her if she gets in contact. I gave her freedom once she could prove she would be sensible. Okay, Jake's home. I've got to go. Bye Derek. Say hi to Amelia and Meredith for me

- Derek : Bye Addison

God I hope she's not lying to me or Addison. We just want to help her.

ADDISON'S POV

I didn't completely lie. Y/n does babysit for us on Sunday's and goes out on Friday and comes back Saturday. She just comes back high. Or she relapsed and comes home and cries to me in guilt. She's doing better then she was but it's still not great.

- Jake : Y/n is in the car. Passed out in a car park. Molly called me because y/n said you would be pissed

- Addison : Can she walk? Is she okay? Does she need to go to the hospital?

- Jake : She's fine, just high. Very very high and her arms are bleeding again. I couldn't differentiate from which ones were fresh and which ones were old

- Addison : Okay erm I'm going to go get her, can you lock up the medicine cabinet?

- Jake : Already on it. There'll be a bottle of water in her room too

So y/n isn't getting better, we've tried everything. She goes to a facility where the focus on her drug use and she comes out and uses more drugs to cope with her mental health but if we send her to a facility where they focus on her mental health she'll come out and use drugs because they didn't focus on it in there and she can't do them both at the same time because apparently it's too big of a change in her life.

- Addison : Y/n Rose Shepherd. What are we going to do with you?

- y/n : Hey Addie

- Addison : What did you take this time sweetie?

- y/n : Not sure. Oxy? Weed? Molly will know

- Addison : Let's get you inside and cleaned up. What happened to your arms?

- y/n : It was before, I think. Maybe before they worked. I'm not sure. I think I need help Addie

- Addison : Hey, don't cry. There's nothing wrong with admitting you need help. Do you want me to find you a nice facility again? Maybe one near your brother?

- y/n : No. Not near Der-

And she's throwing up. Great. Lovely. Off to the hospital because she's caused an overdose. She's throwing up and has clammy, cold skin. I'm going to have to call someone in her family about this because she isn't listening to me, Cooper, Charlotte or Jake and she's going to kill herself if she keeps going at this rate.

Do I just text Amelia like "Hey, Amy. You know your little sister? Well she's over dosed again" and I can't text Derek. It'll break his heart. He just wants his little sister to be okay. Jesus fucking christ.
