Sohail dropped me and drove away. I didn't even have the courage to ring the bell and rant out the whole story to them. My eyes were all swollen from crying so I cannot hide the fact either. Dad would be so disappointed in me and so would be Ahmed. He told me not to mix things up and now here I am tangled and trapped in self created problems.

I didn't ring the bell, I just sat of the footpath outside and kept crying. Every passing by men stared at me and passed away with a shrug. I wouldn't stop wailing until...

"Asalamualaikum," I turned around to the sweetest voice I have ever heard. Her tone was laced with honey and so was her complexion.

On my goodness! This was a real beauty. She was way too perfect as woman in looks.

She had a shapely figure. An imp-thin body. She was wasp-waisted, had glossy skin.
She had slender pair of eyebrows, her eyelashes were velvety. She had a nice cute sized nose and shiny, halo-white teeth.  Her gorgeous hair was ebony-black, and she just placed them behind her pierced ears.

I was dazed. Thank goodness Sohail was gone before seeing her, he would've divorced me at the very moment and married her. "WalaikumaSalam." I answered when I realised I had been dumb enough to stare at her. I immediately wiped my tears away.

"I've never seen you here. I'm surprised to see you waiting at this door. Did the guy inside break your heart?" She asked.

I looked down at her clothes she was casually dressed up in a black kurti with some colourful floral print and beneath that she wore a red trouset that looked great in contrast with the flowers on her dress. "My guy is fed up of me.." I sad and dropped my head in my palm and started crying again.

The pretty girl angrily banged the door, I jumped up to stop her from doing that. "You know what? Luckily I know this guy and he doesn't deserve you. You're too good for him. He's such a-"

"No it's actually my fault.. he's more than perfect." I admitted, she stopped banging.

"I don't share the same experience but anyways if you like him, I can't do anything about him.. I was actually worried if he would ever settle with someone."

"I'm sorry but who are you taking about?"

"The guy you're crying for, Ahmed? It's his house right??" She reassured.

"Oh no no no... I'm his sister, I'm his married sister so I don't basically live her but I think I will from now onwards." I said disappointingly. She stood baffled, after all she had bad mouthed a brother in front of his sister.

Her blue eyes settled on my face. I couldn't help but ask. "I have never seen you here either. Are you married?" I patiently waited for her to answer. I basically should've asked her name but I was to impatient. I wish she weren't, Ahmed would be in the greatest loss.

"No I'm not. I lived abroad for my studies now that my parents are growing home I decided it was time I spend my time with them." She said and I wondered if I had heard the same story before.

"So how do you know Ahmed?" I asked her.

She heaved a sigh, "I'm sorry I didn't know he was your brother. We basically work at the same hospital as colleagues." She answered. I nodded my head and started my imaginations.

"Sam? What are you... doing? Here wit-th her!!" I turned around Ahmed opened the main door before I even rung the bell. Must be from all the banging this pretty lady made. Instead of me his eyes snapped on the beautiful lady beside me. His lips thinned into a straight line as he rolled his eyes away. "WHY ALLAH..WHY?? WHY CANNOT THIS WOMAN DISAPPEAR FROM EARTH??" My mouth hung open as I stared at my brother. Who was he? I had never seen this side of him. He was always so respectful and welcoming towards the guests.

I was just confused at what had happened until he grabbed me by hand, pulled me inside and he shut the door at her face. My eyes almost popped out. "Woah! What was this? What kind of a single man misbehaves with such a beautiful lady?" I asked.

He chuckled before his eyes settled on me. "What happened, you look like a swollen donkey?" He asked.

"Sohail dropped me here and I don't know if he'll ever come and pick me up." I said heartbroken as a tear rolled down my eye.

Ahmed took my face in his hand and gently lifted my chin up. "Why wouldn't he. You're his wife." He said, wrapping his muscular arm around me as he walked me inside.

"I have never been honest with him." I said letting another tear roll down my eye.

"No you have. You told him on the day of your wedding that you loved Adam that takes a lot courage and sincerity." He said, I nodded but still what I've done this time was breaking me apart.

Upon seeing me, Mom rushed towards me but stopped when her eyes landed on my face and more tears scrolled down. "Wh-what happened? Is everything alright?" She gently asked but I knew there was a storm brewing inside her.

I couldn't control myself either so I just ran wrapping her in my arms, I wailed like a baby. She kept asking what happened but I was too busy crying so Ahmed answered for me. "Sohail left her."

I didn't look up to her but she grabbed me by shoulder and made me look into her eyes. "Wha-t is h-he saying?" She asked, her voice trembling and her eyes filling up with tears.

I nodded. "He's never coming back." I cried and fell on the floor, Mom gently bent down to me and patted my back. Ahmed also sat down on the floor with us and caressed my arm.

"I know him, he will if not then I'll make him." Ahmed said assertively and couldn't help but feel a little relaxed.

"Does Dad know? May be he can talk to his brother and we can sort things out." Mom suggested. I wiped my tears with the back of my hand and looked up.

I shook my head in dismay. "Dad doesn't know anything and neither do they. I don't think Sohail would want them to get involved." I reasoned.

"This is not about Sohail. He did his job by dropping you here it is our job to get you back there. If Sohail has something to say he can say in front of us now." She huffed and with her hand on her knee she stood up from the floor. Ahmed also helped her and stretched out his hand for me as well. I took it and stood up as we walked towards the TV lounge.

"It is her fault, not his. Calm down." Ahmed said. We all settled down and sat on the sofa chairs.

"I have liked Adam from a very long time before Sohail got into the picture." I started, Ahmed eyes widened in disbelief as I opened upto Mom. Mom looked at Ahmed and suspected that he knew all along. "I told Sohail on our wedding night that I liked Adam. Off course he was out of options at the very moment so he didn't object. A few days after we got married Adam came to my restaurant and wanted me to arrange his wedding. We also happened to talk on phones because of that. A few days ago we both went to Lahore and due to some problem we stayed the night there. Sohail was unaware of everything until today when Amna broke everything to him." I finished.

"You need to get slapped." Mom said and huffed with anger as she rolled her eyes. After a brief monet of silence ahe continued. "I don't disagree with you helping Adam but at least you should've told him about being his wedding organiser. Hidding things make it more suspicious and the thoughts would be scaring him." Mom reasoned. I agreed with her but it was too late now.

"He said he would pick me up after Adam's wedding." I said. Ahmed and Mom nodded but both seemed to be in their deep thoughts.

"He knows that I helped you that very night doesn't he?" He asked, I nodded bitting the edge of my lip. Ahmed dropped his head in the palm of his hand and heaved an exaggerated sigh. "Perfect! Just perfect!" He said frustratedly his voice laced with sarcasm.

"What is so perfect?" My eyes lifted up and narrowed to the person standing in front.
