Chapter 7

Back at the house, the family went down to their garage and collecting the things they would need. Edward was panicked, while Bella was sad for leaving her dad and scared that he could still be in danger.
 
"I knew this would happen, i knew it. But no, stupid Edward had to fall in love with the blood bag" Elisabeta sneered, as she packed a packed for the trip.
 
"Lisa, please. Bella is part of this family, and we look after our family" Carlisle stated calmly, putting a gentle hand on her shoulder. The woman looked at the man, and sighed heavily. She didn't understand why they were so persistent on caring for the human,  and how could she part of the family? She is nothing like them, she isn't even Edwards mate.
 
"I've had to fight our kind before. We're not easy to kill" Jasper explained.
 
"We'll tear them apart and burn the pieces" Emmet snickered, wanting to kick some vampire ass.
 
"I don't relish the thought of killing another creature. Even a sadistic one like James" Carlisle stated, as Rosalie sat on the counter.
 
"What if he kills one of use first?" She askes, but no one answers.
 
"I'm gonna run Bella south and then can you lead the track away from here" Edward suggested but Carlisle didn't like the idea.
 
"No, Edward. James knows you'd never leave Bella. He'll follow you"
 
"I'll go with Bella. Vlad, Elisabeta and i will drive her south" Alice said, making Elisabeta to snap her head in the direction of Alice.
 
"Why am i going?" she exclaimed.
 
"Because if you stay here, you'll have to help lead James away from her. That means wearing something of Bella's" Said Alice, making Elisabeta groan in frustration and she mumbled a 'fine'. Once her stuff was in the car, she turned to Jasper who was already looking at her.
 
"Please be careful, my love. I don't know what i would do if you got hurt" she spoke softly, putting her arms around his neck while his hands rested on her waist.
 
"I'll be fine, darlin. But please don't kill Bella, no matter how much she may annoy you" He said, with a raised brow. The woman groaned, shoving her face into his chest.
 
"Alright, I'm driving. Come on blo- i mean Bella, let's go" with a quick kiss goodbye to Jasper and giving the others quick hugs, the four were off to Phoenix. It didn't take long to get to the hotel, with Elisabeta being a led foot. Alice got everything sorted, and the four of them went to their room.
 
Not long after, Alice got a vision, gaining everyone's attention.
 
"What is it? What did you see?" Vlad asked his girlfriend.
 
"The tracker. He just changed course" Alice said, making the twins look at each other in shock. Elisabeta quickly got a paper and pencil, and handed it to Alice.
 
"Where will it take him, Alice?" Elisabeta asked, watching as her best friend started to sketch something.
 
"Mirrors. A room full of mirrors" Bella stood up, watching the female vampire.
 
"Edward said the visions weren't always certain" Bella said, making Elisabeta to look at her.
 
"She sees the course people are on while they're on it. If they change their minds, the vision changes" the woman explained.
 
"So, the course that the tracker's on now is gonna lead him to....a ballet studio?" said the swan girl, catching the others by surprise.
 
"You've been here?" Alice asked.
 
"I took lessons as a kid. The school i went to had an arch just like that" the twins looked at each other, before Elisabeta looked back at the human.
 
"Is your school here in Phoenix?" She asked, getting a nod from Bella. After the call with Edward, the four packed up their things and went to leave the hotel. As Alice and Vlad dealt with the people in the lobby, Elisabeta stayed with Bella, much to her distaste. Suddenly, Bella got a phone call from her mother.
 
"Hey, mum. I'm glad you got my message. What are you doing home?" she asked the woman. Elisabeta listened to the phone call, and if her heart was still beating it would've dropped when she heard James' voice on the other end.
 
"Where should i meet you?" Bella asked. After a while, the girl hung up and turned to see Elisabeta standing there.
 
"Look, i know you don't like me but my mum is in trouble. So, i need to go help her. Don't tell the others where i am" and just as she was about to leave, Elisabeta grabbed her arm.
 
"You're right, i don't like you. But Edward would be beside himself if anything happened to you, so for him, i will come with you. You are a weak human, so at least with me there you'll be....protected" she said, which surprised Bella greatly. But the girl nodded her head, and the two left for the ballet studio.
