After an hour or so of talking, touching and Druig whispering sweet nothings to me, we put our clothes on and walked past the sliding door out into the jet. I felt the stares of each of the eternals and my embarrassment ran to my cheeks making me turn red. I avoided their eyes and looked at Druig as he walked with a smirk on his face before finding a seat across from Kingo.

Kingo rolled his eyes as Druig sat down, pulling me into his lap.

"You disgust me," Sprite said appearing out of thin air in the seat beside us. I gasped in surprise and Druig just laughed placing his arm around my waist.

"Jealous Sprite?" Druig teased and I slapped his arm. He paused rolling his eyes before bringing his opposite hand to rest at my thigh.

Kingo kept his eyes on us a disapproving look written across his face as he set down his snack, pushing it to Karun.

"How much longer till we see Phastos?" Kingo asked Ikaris.

"Too long," Sprite said pressing her forehead into her hand as Druig pressed a soft kiss to my cheek.

The jet was quiet as Kingo, Sprite, Karun, Druig and I sat around waiting for Sersi and Ikaris. On one of the 10 televisions in the jet played Kingo's movie. I'd never seen a movie, let alone a television and I couldn't help but be impressed by the story telling. The bright and beautiful colors of bollywood were stunning to watch.

Druig had made a bowl of something called popcorn and we were sharing it as we watched. Or should I say I watched, Druig criticized.

"So you're makin' money off us now?" Druig asked taking a handful of popcorn, shoving it in his mouth.

"No not you, just Ikaris. You're not cool enough. Well maybe you are with the whole enslave and make your own cult thing. I've heard some people are really into that lately," Kingo said from the chair acrossed from us. Druig and I shared a disapproving look making Kingo shake his head.

"Was she always the exact mirror of you? Or did you make her that way?" Kingo asked, his question obviously touching a nerve as Druig took a handful of popcorn throwing it at Kingo. He put his hands up swatting some of the kernels but sat, still covered in popcorn. I laughed softly to myself as I leaned into the leather of the chair, hoping it would swallow me whole.

"Fuck off," Druig said taking another handful of popcorn, eating it this time.

"I feel like this is a valid question," Kingo said swiping the kernels off of his jacket and shirt.

"How did you two meet?" Karun asked. Since we met, I'd noticed he always seemed very interested in the lives of the eternals around him. I mean who wouldn't be enamored by them and their abilities. This time as he asks the question, Karun's eyes fall on me.

I smiled at the thought of being in the jungle with Druig again. I could picture the green of the forest and hear the running river perfectly. As I tried to think back on the time we first met...

I drew a blank.

Shaking my head, forcing my thoughts to focus, I realized I couldn't remember how we met. My head began to spin and I couldn't help but feel an anxious bubble form in my throat. I looked at Druig who wore a quizzical expression as he looked at me.

"I don't know, I didn't notice her until she'd turned up. You were around 20?" He asked, his features seeming excited before softening as he saw my worried expression.

"What is it?" he asked, his words soft in my own mind. I shook my head with a small smile in an attempt to mask my forgetfulness. How could I not remember how I met Druig? The man who has changed my life in more ways than one.

I avoided Druig's gaze, putting up a wall in my mind that I hoped would keep Druig out of it. I looked past him at Karun. At the same time, Druig reached over pulling me into his lap.

"Life before him was nothing special," I smiled and Karun let out a small 'aww' in return, his hands folding over the top of his camera in his lap. Druig's hand stayed rested against my waist, his thumbs caressing the skin under my sweater.

It was true that life was meaningless before him, that part I know for sure. I may not remember exactly what happened but I remember feeling void in a massive place then one day I was waking up in the arms of the man I...care about so deeply. That day I knew I never wanted to wake up any other way.

"How do you put up with him?" Sprite sounded disgusted as she appeared in the seat beside me. I turned slightly in Druig's lap so that I could see Sprite better.

"It's definitely a challenge don't get me wrong," I smile at her and Sprite puffs out a frustrated breath. I can't help but feel the sense of jealousy coming off of her as she turns to look out the window of the jet.

By the time I tune back into what Druig is explaining, I realize he's telling the story of how we met. And none of it seems familiar, not in the slightest. The way he talks about our home in the forest and the two of us being together, you'd think I was the happiest thing that had ever happened to him. The way his face lights up as he reminisces on our times running to the river is priceless.

I frown as Druig continues that same smile on his face as he talks about me seeking a new and better place to live in the jungle. I think hard about my past and try to remember what Druig is explaining but nothing comes up.

"I used mind control on her a few times when she first got to the camp I admit, but she was a handful with me. Amara didn't like me at first, seemed almost annoyed at my presence. She constantly tried to avoid me and I would do little things to just to annoy her even more," Druig explained with a laugh. Even though I couldn't remember any specific instance of it, I could picture it perfectly.

"She makes the cutest faces when she annoyed," Druig whispers in my ears as he pinches my side.

"Fuck off," I thought as I laughed, swatting his hand.

"Are you two going to be this ooey-gooey the entire time?" Kingo asked, another disgusted look on his face. Druig planted a soft kiss to my cheek, making me forget the anxious knot in my stomach.

"I'll take that as a yes," Kingo said rolling his eyes as he sunk into his seat.

Druig's chin rested on my shoulder as his arms stayed firmly wrapped around me. His hands caressing my sides, his thumb tracing the seam of my shirt every so often.

"You alright?" Druig asked without making a sound. I nodded laying my head back against his shoulder. My head turning to place a soft kiss on his cheek.

I could sense his uncertainty of my words, but rather than push, he dropped the question. Maybe I was just having brain fog from all that had happened.

That's probably why I don't remember.

I think.

With a cloud of uncertainty and confusion looming over my thoughts, I doze off in Druig's lap. Not daring to give the somber ideas another thought.
