“Okay, bye mom, I love you!”  I had told my mom that I was going to Jen’s house to help her and her sister redo the basement.  Jenna’s parents passed away when she was 5, so she just lives with her older sister, Madison.  I had told my mom that I would be staying the night because we were going to just finish the basement in the morning.

She seemed to go for my story, plus we had the added bonus of Jenna’s sister calling my mom to confirm our plans. “Okay, bye Kay.  Have fun!”  I felt bad about lying to my mom... but I couldn't help it.  I had to go see Take the Payne.  Sometimes I feel like my parents have forgotten what it was like to be a teenager.

Once my mom pulled out of the driveway, I brought my stuff into my friends house. It was a quaint bungalow with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, living room and family room. It was all Maddie could afford, but who cares?

Her sister laid out some ground rules, no drinking, go straight to the concert and come straight home, no talking to strangers.  Just the basics.

We went up to Jenna’s room so we could get ready for the concert. Jenna and her sister are very artistic.  Both of their bedrooms started out white, with white furniture.  They always draw and paint on their walls and furniture.  This is pretty awesome and their rooms look so cool.

Jenna had her hair curled and she was wearing it down.  She was wearing dark skinny jeans and a leather jacket over a red tank top.  Her shoes were red stilettos and she also had on red lipstick.  She was the type of person that could pull something like that off.

I was wearing black skinny jeans and a blue/purple sequenced tank top.  I had my dark hair down straight, but it was curled under at the ends.  My bangs were swept to the side.  I had white converse on my feet, but I had scribbled on them using a black sharpie.  I wrote Take the Payne and all of the band members names.

“I’m going back blonde for the summer,” I told her.  My natural hair is blonde, but this year I wanted to try something different so I dyed my hair dark brown.  I really liked it and it made me look older, but I missed my blonde hair.  We had a bit of time to kill before we left for the concert so Jenna got out her art supplies and began drawing on her wall.

It is amazing watching Jenna draw or paint.  She goes to a completely different world and her art just flows out of her.  A picture started to form on the wall infront of her.  At first it just looked like dark lines, but after a few more strokes of the paint brush, I could tell that it was beginning to resemble two people.  The details of the painting were exquisit.  Jenna painted me and her getting ready for the concert.  It looked like I was staring in a mirror.

When it was time to leave we made our way downstairs and found Madison down in the basement painting the walls.

“Have a good time tonight girls, and don’t get into any trouble.  Kaylee your mother will kill me if she finds out, so don’t let her, okay?”

“Okay, thanks so much.”

“Bye sis!”  Jenna said, pulling her sister in for a quick hug.  I grabbed my jacket and we headed out the door.  Jenna still didn’t have her license so I was stuck driving.

The drive there went smoothly. I had brought my CD’s so we were listening to TtP the whole way there, getting pumped for the concert.  I quickly found a parking space and parked the car.  We went into Pizza Pizza so we could get some food before going to the venue.

"I'll get a slice of pepperoni please?" I said to the lady.  Jenna placed her order, we both payed then we went to a table to eat our food.

When we were done eating, we made our way over to the Pepsi Center.  Our tickets were at will call and as soon as we got them we went into the arena.
