Aeri thought it was odd. Every day was like routine. They'd get ready together, grab breakfast, work, come back home and cook dinner as a duo.

A new presence seemed to loom over both of their shoulders, and unknowingly, the pair's feelings were mirrored.

It was the littlest things, but something was different.

Honestly, Aeri found it more than odd. It was ridiculous.

She knew why she was acting off, but to have Jisung act similarly to her was alarming.

Maybe those second too long of stares were speaking his mind, and those quiet moments between them at any available time were his silence emitting the loudest volume.

But what could have he felt different? There wasn't much to worry about or notice a change in, even though it was at that moment very obvious in a different way. They were shadowing their mid-thirties, a time of peace in their lives.

Could he have noticed the change in detergent they used since Aeri grew sick of the last one? Or perhaps that she had been blowing off date nights recently to get more sleep, but it was anything but abnormal. Perhaps, he noticed the way she brought more snacks to the office, but even that was pushing the extent of possibilities to excuse his sudden change in behavior.

Interrupting her train of thought, the spoken devil appeared at her office's open door. He knocked on the wood before passing the frame, standing at the foot of her neatly cluttered desk.

Aeri looked up from her desktop computer, her eyes flashing from her screen to the vibrant hazel of his orbs.

"Yes?" She questioned, biting back an interrogation to hear what he had to say.

"Date night at home today?" He asked simply, whilst shoving his large hands in his jean pockets. In moments like these, she wished he was a many of many words. Perhaps that man only existed in his songs.

Immediately hearing the opportunity to finally speak about her thoughts, the brunette immediately nodded her head. Her locks bounced on her shoulders as she did so. "Sure, take out?"

"From your favorite chinese restaurant?"

"Hmm, what about something else? My palette has been changing recently," Aeri chimed, watching as he smiled back tinily.

"I'll take care of everything, see you at home," Jisung informed before placing a chaste kiss to her forehead, then leaving to his next lesson that had been scheduled by a regular.

Instead of instantly turning back to her work, Aeri watched her husband's back leave. She bit her lip habitually, her feet tapping beneath the table. Hopefully tonight, things would go as planned for them.

And as much as it would have been perfect for Aeri to speak to her husband over some take out from a place like Mcdonald's, the clock struck 10 pm with the stool across their island counter being cold.

The brunette woman tiredly folded her arms over the white table surface. She couldn't help but allow her head to fall atop her forearms, the exhaustion of working finally resting it's weight on her shoulders and eye lids.

Before she knew it, she could no longer wait for her husband to come home. Instead, her slumber welcomed her with open arms, and the brightly lit modern kitchen turned pitch black.
