I blindly followed Torm to some room. I don't remember what hall we went down or how many turns we took, the next thing I knew I was just there. When Torm opened the door, Tem and Scribz looked up at me from whatever they were doing.
"Oh, hey Edd," Tem said brightly. I looked at him and waved weakly. My arm hurt like hell and my brain was scattered. I couldn't think about anything.
"Are you okay?" Tem's bright attitude immediately grew concerned. I started nodding, but changed my mind and shook my head. I felt the tears welling up again. Finally, I doubled down and fell to my knees. Tem got up and walked over to me, scooping me up and hugging me. I just sat against him and let it out. Torm patted my back uncomfortably. Scribz just stood next to him, watching me. I kept my eyes closed, I couldn't tell if I was making any sound or not. Tem just kept holding me. After a moment, I wiped my eyes with my hands. I didn't let go of Tem, but I had cried myself dry. He pulled back a little and looked at my arm.
"Oh jeez what happened...?"
"I got into an argument," I said, sniffling. Tem put a hand on my face and took some bandages out of his pocket.
"You poor thing..." he mumbled as he wrapped my arm up. "Here, c'mon and sit for a sec."
I dropped down on one of the chairs, Tem next to me. The other two sat across from us.
I explained everything that happened— or at least everything I could explain without breaking down again.

I didn't tell them what Tord said to me.

"Well... hey, at least not ALL of your friends are gone," Tem said. I looked up at him, tilting my head. He smiled at me a little.
"You still have us,"
He considered me a friend...
Scribz nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah atleast we're still here!"
Torm nodded a little too.
"That is- if you consider us as friends of course..." Tem added. I felt my mouth twist up into a smile. I couldn't help myself... It felt good to know that they thought of me that way.
"R-Right... Thanks guys," I said quietly. Tem wrapped his arm around me in a half hug.
"I... should probably get going. I feel tired," I said. Tem nodded.
"Of course. You can come back any time if you want to," he said as I got up. I smiled at him.
"I'll keep that in mind."
He smiled back.

As I walked down the hall I realized we had passed the testing room. As I walked past one of the rooms, I heard faint screams from inside. I tried the door handle. It was locked.
I couldn't tell who was screaming, but I felt like it sounded familiar.

Too familiar.
