Days turned to weeks, turned to months.

Turned to years.

Jungwon tossed in his bed. He couldn't sleep— again.

He sighed and hugged Maeumi. "I miss your daddy Seongie," he whispered.

Though it had been three years since he left, Jay's name always appeared in his head. Jungwon busied himself with modeling, but he still felt a missing piece.

How can a mere boy he met six years ago still haunt him?

He tried his best to forget, but how can he forget someone like Jay?

He still loves him. He still kept his photos in his Instagram. Though, it must have been dumped right below as all his new photos were stacked. He heaved a sigh and stood up from his bed to get some water, grabbing his wired earphones and his new phone along with him. Everything around him was new, but he still felt the same during the years that flew by.

Jungwon was careful not to wake up the others that slept in the house. Sometimes, he wishes he could just live in a smaller home, but he didn't mind having his family with him, anyway. Sometimes, he would stay the night at Heeseung's apartment for a change of setting.

Spotting a bucket of chicken he assumed one of them bought and couldn't finish, he grabbed the food before getting a can of beer from the fridge.

Perhaps, chicken and beer as a midnight snack wouldn't hurt. He couldn't sleep, anyway, and he doesn't have a schedule for a photoshoot or a runway tomorrow. He walked out with Maeumi following him around. He walked to the clean rooftop and sat by the edge to breathe in the night breeze.

Plugging his earphones in and a smile played on his face as he played a random K-Pop playlist in his phone.

Coincidentally, DNA started playing. The smile on his face slowly faltered when the whistling started and V started singing.

"I knew it from the first time I saw you."

His stomach churned. He suddenly felt sad at the sense of nostalgia engulfing him.

"It was like we called on each other."

He remembered how Jay looked that day. Handsome, a little flirty, the ends of his dark hair moving around his eyelashes gracefully. He remembered how the DNA team wore colorful colors, but he could vaguely remember Jay wore red and white.

The smile on his face returned. He remembered the way Jay stared at him while singing. How he would teasingly smirk when he caught Jungwon sink on his chair- obviously shy and flustered.

"The DNA in my blood tells me... You were the one I've been looking for."

He chuckled, taking a sip of his beer, his attention drawing to the bucket of chicken that laid on his lap.

During that first Flicker Fest, Jay became his crush. But Jungwon was too oblivious and in disbelief at that time because he thought he still liked Heeseung.

Now he started to wonder how Jay's been doing.

He had been ignoring him for three whole years, and the latter ignored him back. Neither were ready to face each other. Or maybe, Jungwon was a coward to face the love of his life that he shamefully left. And maybe, Jongseong just couldn't handle seeing him.

From what he heard from Sunghoon, Jay's still busy in Seattle. Most of them were still in contact, but they said he rarely opens his social media accounts these days.

He said Jay was still the same, but he was different, now, too. They said he no longer sounded interested most of the time, and his temper got worse.
