Chapter 23

Kajol slept like she has never slept before; she woke up without an alarm; there was no need for alarms anymore anyway or snoozing the alarm five times before finally waking up. She finally felt the freedom of finishing college.

She rose up from her bed and started pulling Preity's and Rani's bed covers 'come on wake up sleepy heads, we didn't come here to sleep' she said and Preity was the first one to respond and got off bed slowly

Rani rubbed her eye 'you have never been early birds before. What has changed?' she said with a sleepy voice

'We came here to enjoy our time. Get off your bed' Kajol said pulling Rani's arm and she managed to make her wake up finally

'I will call Shahrukh' Kajol said picking up her mobile 'Good morning' she said sweetly

'Good morning' Shahrukh said happily

'Did I wake you up?' she asked

'No, I was jogging with Saif' he replied

'Great, I hope Rani and Preity learn from you guys' she said jokingly 'where do you plan to go next?'

He laughed 'we are going to the sea' he said

'Awesome, wait for us' she said with excitement

'We will meet you there'

'Prefect' she said happily then hung up and looked back at Rani 'you went back to sleep! Rani!'

'hey' Shahrukh said sweetly and kissed Kajol's cheek when they all met near the sea

'hey' she said and kissed his cheek

'Why did you take so much time?' Saif asked

'It is Rani that made us late, she kept falling asleep' Preity said and giggled

'I thought something might have happened' Saif said and kissed Preity's hand

'Why are you acting like you are at your eighties?' Kajol asked Rani

Rani rolled her eyes 'I am just exhausted' she said

'that's why you need this vacation more than any of us' Shahrukh said and wrapped his arm around Rani's arm

'Wise Shahrukh, we need to move faster as I want to go to the sea before the sun becomes stronger' Saif said starting to get bored

'Okay, let's go' Shahrukh said shrugging

'I will just sit here on this beach chair' Preity said

'Why? You can swim during pregnancy' Rani said

'I know, but I will just watch you swim' Preity said and sat down

Kajol pulled Shahrukh's hand and walked away 'I am tired of trying to make everybody enjoy this vacation, they will regret it later' she said in boredom

'Don't spoil your mood. Just let everyone do what they want, that's the point of this vacation' Shahrukh said kindly and caressed her cheek 'look, Rani and Saif are joining us' he said and both looked at them coming towards them

'Come on' Saif said and all jumped to the sea and started swimming

'Is everything okay?' Preity flinched when Shahrukh asked her, she simply took off her earphones and smiled 'what is wrong? Still thinking about what you told me?' he asked and sat on the beach chair next to her
