Derek wasn't in very good condition. His wrist was broken, his nose was bruised along with the right side of his jaw, his stomach was covered in cuts and blood, and his breathing wasn't very steady. Abigail walks out from the bathroom with a wet rag and she sits on the bed next to Derek, placing the rag on his forehead.

"How is he doing, Abigail?" Amelia asks from the floor, trying her best to scrub up Derek's blood in front of her.

"He's still unconscious. Um, it seems he has a broken wrist, a bruised nose and jaw, and his stomach is pretty bloody and cut up," Abigail replies, climbing off the bed and walks next to Amelia. "Give me the rag, I'll scrub up the blood, you can rest on the bed,"

Amelia sighs and holds the rag out in front of her, and Abigail takes the wet rag from her hand. "Abigail I have a question, that I really need the answer to; what happened to Charlie?"

Abigail's heart sinks as she tries to dodge the question, quickly scrubbing up the blood from the floor. "I don't really think you want--"

"I need to know. Charlie's my daughter, Abigail," Amelia raises her voice, scooting back against the white wall away from Abigail.

"Kyle's-- He's going to raise her himself," Abigail inhales a sigh, turning away from the floor to look up at Amelia. "He told me he was going to hold onto her because you can't take care of her because you're blind. Kyle's going to raise Charlie to be just like him, Amelia, I'm sorry,"

Amelia inhales a shaky breath and cups her hand over her mouth. She stands to her feet and feels her way to the bathroom, slamming the door behind her. Abigail looks away from the bathroom door and continues scrubbing the blood from the hardwood floor.

Derek groans from the bed and moves his hand to pull the rag away from his forehead. Abigail turns her head to look at Derek as she rises from the floor and to her feet. "Hey Derek, how are you feeling?" Abigail asks, sitting at the edge of the bed next to Derek.

"Like a piece of shit," He replies, trying to sit up in the bed. Derek tries to lean on his weak right wrist not knowing that it was broken before crying out and grabbing his wrist.

"Don't use that wrist, Derek, it's broken," Abigail reminds him, helping him sit up in the bed. "Besides like shit, how do you feel? What's hurting?"

"My wrist now," Derek whines, looking around the room. "Where's Amelia? Is she okay?"

"She's in the bathroom, and she'll be alright," Abigail inhales a sigh, glancing back at the bathroom door. "Kyle took Charlie, and he's going to raise her to be just like him,"

"How is she handling it?" Derek asks, turning back to Abigail.

"Privately," Abigail answers, folding her hands over her lap. "I want to go in there and comfort her but I don't want to make it worse neither,"

"Does she deal with stuff better alone?" Derek wonders aloud, trying to stand up from the bed.

"I-I'm not sure, she's never really had to deal with anything this traumatic before," Abigail admits, standing from the bed. "Should I go check on her?"

"How did she react when she went blind?" Derek offers, glancing over at the bathroom door again.

"She just threw up--" Abigail pauses as she hears a crash in the bathroom. She turns away from Derek and runs for the bathroom door, banging her fist against the wood. "Amelia? Are you okay? Open the door!"

Derek stumbles over and glances over at Abigail. "Back up, I've got this," He smiles and slams his shoulder into the door before collapsing to his knees. "Never mind, I don't have this,"

Abigail inhales a sigh and runs forward, throwing herself against the door and it opens up. Amelia's sitting in the bathtub with the shower curtain draped over her as she scratches up and down her cheeks with tears spilling from her milky white eyes.

"Amelia!" Abigail cries and kneels down at Amelia's side, prying her hands from her cut up and bloody cheeks. Under her fingernails were pieces of her skin and blood.

Amelia lowers her head and breaks into a sob, laying her head on Abigail's shoulder. Abigail rubs her hand up and down Amelia's back soothingly as Derek walks into the bathroom and looks down at Abigail with his face turning pale.

"Derek, help me walk Amelia in the bedroom," Abigail stands from the floor and yanks Amelia to her feet, helping her from the tub. Derek holds his right hand to his chest as he holds Amelia by her arm in case she fell as they walked from the bathroom.

Abigail and Derek finally managed to pull Amelia on the bed and lay her down before they walk back into the bathroom keeping the door open. "Has she ever done that before?" Derek asks as Abigail picks up the shower curtain from the floor and hangs it back up on the metal bar.

"Never," Abigail shakes her head as she looks over at Derek. "I'm not even sure if it's a good idea to keep her out of our sight anymore,"

"Maybe she won't scratch since her cheeks are all bloody," Derek shrugs his shoulders, turning his head to look back at Amelia in the bedroom.

"I'm worried about her," Abigail admits, picking up a rag from the floor and placing it under the sink of cold water. "Kyle just took her daughter and he wasn't talking like he's giving her back anytime soon. This is going to make her go insane, Derek,"

"Maybe she'll surprise us and be a lot better later on," Derek offers, merely shrugging his shoulders once more.

Abigail picks up the rag from the sink and looks back up at Derek. "I hope you're right," She whispers before walking back into the bedroom. She stands next to Amelia who now had her eyes closed and Abigail gently put the rag over both of her cheeks.

There was a knock on the door and Sarah walks inside, keeping the door open behind her. "Hey, Kyle needs to see Amelia and Derek, so can I just go ahead and take them without this being a big fight or whatever?"

"W-Why does Kyle needs us?" Derek asks as he walks out from the bathroom, still holding his wrist to his chest.

"Hell if I know," Sarah shrugs her shoulders and looks at Abigail. "I'll make sure they're not going to die or I'll interfere, alright? I'm not the threat here, neither is Henry, it's just Alex and Kyle you need to worry about,"

Abigail sighs and looks across the room as Derek then back at Sarah. "Do you promise that you'll interfere if you think Kyle's killing them?"

"I promise," Sarah motions her crossing her heart before walks over to the bed. "And I never break my promises, kid," She picks up Amelia into her arms and glances over at Derek. "Let's go kiddo,"

Sarah walks out the door and Derek glances over at Abigail, his eyes pleading for help. She runs forward and wraps her arms around his neck, before quickly pulling away. "Please stay safe, you're already in bad condition, don't do anything stupid,"

Derek nods and walks out of the room, closing and locking the door behind him leaving Abigail alone.
