Abigail had completely forgotten about Elliot until she could hear her friend sobbing. Abigail had finished dragging Daniel out to the backyard and hiding him in the bushes before throwing up next to his body. She still couldn't process what she did, but she didn't feel bad in the slightest. Daniel got what he deserved.

Abigail pulled the bedroom key from Daniel's pocket, stumbling up the stairs and down the hallway to the door. She unlocked the lock and before she could even turn the doorknob, Elliot swung open the door. She hugged Abigail as tightly as she could, burying her face in Abigail's shoulder.

"I—I thought he killed you," Elliot cried, sniffing loudly in Abigail's shirt sleeve. "I was so scared, I didn't know what happened."

Abigail pressed her chin against Elliot's head, squeezing her eyes shut. "It's okay, I'm okay I promise." She ran her fingers through Elliot's hair, closing the door with her foot behind them.

Elliot pulled away from Abigail, brushing her tears away with her hand. Her other wrist was clung to her chest; the bone sticking out and bruised. Elliot followed Abigail's gaze, nervously scratching the back of her head. "I— I'm fine, look at you!"

Elliot flipped over Abigail's blood covered hand, preventing more blood to drip on the floor. "How did this happen? What did he do to you? Why were you—."

"I'll tell you if you let me wrap up your wrist," Abigail interrupted, pulling her hand from Elliot's grasp. "Then you can help me clean up, but if you don't do something about your wrist, it'll only get worse."

Elliot reluctantly nodded, scrambling onto the bed with her legs dangling on the side. Abigail tore two pieces of the bedsheets, wrapping the first around her bloody hand. As she began working on Elliot's wrist, Abigail sighed and began telling what happened downstairs.

"—and, I had no idea what I was doing, so I just stabbed him in the fucking heart." Abigail merely shrugged, adding the finishing touches to Elliot's poorly made cast.

"You—You killed Daniel?" Elliot's eyes grew wide, her mouth gaping open. "Abigail what the hell were you thinking?"

"I wasn't," Abigail rose to her feet, a stern look in her eyes. "I was scared, impulsive. I hid his body in the backyard and Kyle never goes back there."

Elliot stared at the floor, noticeably sorting through hundreds of thoughts swarming in her mind. "I just— I can't believe you did that, Abigail."

"I did it to protect myself, God knows what he would've done to me," Abigail shuttered at the thought, glancing out the window. "I'm not bad like them. I wouldn't have did that if I had any other choice."

Elliot sighed, kicking her legs back and forth against the mattress. "What is Kyle going to think?"

"Hopefully Kyle won't find him."

"And if he does?"

Abigail fell silent; the thought didn't even come across her mind. Kyle was going to kill her, she knew what she had coming. "Hopefully he'll go easy on me. Don't worry about it."

"All I'm going to do is worry about it." Elliot crossed her arms, standing from the bed. "I'm hungry as hell, I'm getting food before Kyle comes home."

Abigail follows Elliot from the bedroom, keeping the key in her back pocket for a future emergency. She follows Elliot downstairs to the kitchen, noticing the blood stain in the middle of the floor. "For Christ's sake, Abigail!" Elliot threw up her hands, obviously annoyed. "You didn't scrub the blood from the floor?"

"There's just so many puddles of blood around here, I didn't think he would notice." Abigail licked her lips, trying to force the memory of stabbing Daniel from her head.

"Kyle's a dumbass, I hope you're right," Elliot opened the refrigerator door, peering inside for the food options. She pulls out a full carton of milk, smiling to Abigail. "Dare you to drink the whole carton."

"I'm not no bitch," Abigail snatched the milk from Elliot before placing the carton back into the fridge. "but Kyle would notice if we drank it. We need to take things we know he wouldn't notice was gone."

Elliot nodded, closing the refrigerator door to move to the cabinets. She pulls out a box of crackers, peanut butter, pickles, and cookies. "I say we take a few of these and it'll be alright?"

Abigail grabbed the box of crackers, tearing into the box frantically. Elliot did the same but to the box  of cookies, only being able to shove two in her mouth before they both hear a noise outside.

Kyle's car pulling up.
