Abigail woke to someone stomping up the stairs. Her body jolted forward, looking towards the doorway as she waited for Kyle to storm in for her. Instead, the door creaked open to reveal Kyle with an unknown girl by his side. Abigail immediately scrambled to the side of the bed, hiding behind the mattress in fear of what Kyle had planned.

"Come out darling," Kyle called, pushing the girl forward in the bedroom. She tripped and fell to her knees, her eyes refusing to leave the floor. "She won't hurt you. She doesn't really do much in general." Kyle closed the door with a loud slam, leaving the two alone.

The girl looked around fifteen, two years younger than Abigail, although the size of twelve. Her short brown hair covered most of her green eyes, her knees bruised. An old and torn "Tom and Jerry" shirt clung to her body, her feet bare along with Abigail's.

"You've been staring at me for awhile," the girl glanced towards Abigail, trying her best to smile. "You trying to figure out how to ask me on a date?"

Abigail still remained silent, unsure how to answer. Kyle obviously didn't scare the girl enough, or she just seemed to be making jokes to avoid her problems. Either way, just a few days stuck in the bedroom would change her sense of humor.

"You're that one girl from the news, right? Amanda?" The girl climbed on the bed, looking down at Abigail.

"A—Abigail." She glanced away from the girl, embarrassed from how scared she acted for no reason.

"Abigail! That's fun!" The girl gave Abigail a forced smile, the excited act was a lie. "I'm Elliot."

Abigail didn't know what to say next, she was honestly hoping Elliot would say something. Instead, Elliot decided to search the bedroom, noticing the blood on the mattress from Abigail's back. "Are—Are you alright? You look like hell if it were a person."

"I'm alright," Abigail lied, feeling the complete opposite of alright. Her skin was peeling from the steaming water bath, her face was slowly healing from being beaten from Kyle, but her back was still aching from Daniel the day before. "Have they hurt you?"

Elliot shook her head, approaching closer to Abigail who had now perched herself on the bed. "The mean men only shot me with a dart on my walk home from the bus, I woke up in the trunk before arriving here. I have no room to complain from what they've done to you."

Abigail wanted to keep things that way. She didn't want Elliot to get hurt as bad as Abigail has endured for the past few days, she'd risk being killed before even letting Kyle — or Daniel— touch Elliot.

"Elliot, I need you to promise me something," Abigail fixed her legs to sit crisscrossed on the bed, watching at Elliot walked over to stand by her. "I don't want Kyle hurting you, if he comes after me I don't want you doing anything, you understand? It's my job to keep you safe."

Elliot opened her mouth to object, but quickly pressed her lips together and nodded. After a few moments of silence, Elliot glanced back to Abigail. "Why don't we try to escape? This house doesn't seem on lockdown or anything."

"No, we can't. We can't escape." Abigail quickly shook her head, remembering the last time she tried to escape days before. What happened because of her. "Kyle's smart, he'll catch us. He caught me."

"What did he do? What happened?" Elliot looked genuinely interested, Abigail didn't want her making the same mistake.

"The honest truth?" Abigail waited until Elliot nodded. "He caught me before I could get to the door. He took me to the bathroom and tried to drown me in steaming water. He murdered three different people. He slit open my friends' throat and killed him. We're not trying to escape. Kyle is an absolute psychopath, it's too risky."

Elliot's face turned pale, a terrified look in her eyes. "Abigail I—I'm scared. I don't want to mess up and get someone killed."

Abigail grabbed Elliot's hand, which was now trembling from worry. "You won't, you just have to do what he says and don't be dumb. I'll be the one messing up, don't worry."

Elliot merely nodded, pulling her hand away from Abigail's. From behind her, Kyle kicked open the door, staring between both girls with an evil glisten in his eyes. "I see Elliot here is finally being interesting," Kyle approached the bed, his hands stuffed in his jeans pockets. "How about we have some fun?"

Abigail shoved Elliot behind her, putting her arms out to protect Elliot. She kept her eyes fixed on Kyle, her heart pounding. She was completely terrified, but Abigail had to act strong to keep Elliot safe; she'd do anything.

"Oh Abigail, you make me laugh." Kyle chuckled, leaning over the bed. "Don't worry, I'll play with you later."

He whistled into his two fingers loudly and Daniel appeared in the doorway. "Grab Abigail for me please, she's being a bit of a fighter today." Kyle instructed, smiling to the girls.

Daniel grabbed Abigail's wrist, beginning to drag her off the bed as she tried fighting back. Elliot latched on to Abigail's other wrist, tears forming in her eyes. "Abigail please, I don't want to go. Please protect me."

Kyle wrapped his arms around Elliot's waist, pulling her away from Abigail. She screamed and kicked at Kyle, trying everything in her power to get away from him. "Put me down! Let me go!" Elliot continued to scream on the top of her lungs, squirming around to be as difficult as possible.

Abigail tried doing the same, although Daniel was stronger and only seemed to be hurting herself more than harming him. Kyle carried Elliot out of the bedroom before turning around once more to Daniel and Abigail.

"Go ahead and drop her, Danny." Kyle winked at Abigail, ignoring the screaming from Elliot in his arms. "I'm going to have some fun with little Elliot now."
