Mario; A monster hunter, specializes in killing almost any monster that can burn. Fights off demons from invading and conquering the Mushroom Kingdom alongside his brother Luigi.
Luigi; A monster hunter, specializes in ghosts.Fights alongside his brother but is very hesitant to kill. Believes that all monsters can be saved no matter what.

Peach; Is the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom and is unafraid to defend her people. Practices witchcraft and potions alike to find protective spells for her people, not malicious or overpowering, but is not magical in blood. Specializes in brews to cure infected, but not fully turned, monsters.

Bowser;Half-turned into a Dry Bones, the Koopa equivalent to a zombie in this AU, and is unaffected by any bites from any monsters because of it, being saved from becoming all Dry Bones by an elixir from Peach. Is ruler over a kingdom of half-turned and normal Koopas and Goombas that are pacifists.Would not hesitate to kill pure blood monsters.
(Nastasia pretty much looks the same)
Nastasia; Half-turned into a vampire by Count Bleck to save her life, swearing undying loyalty to him as a result. She followed the count through the world to try and help find his lost love until she was captured and put into a deep slumber alongside the others.
(O'Chunks pretty much looks the same except his skin is a tint of green)
O'Chunks; A reanimated zombie that Count Bleck brought to life after witnessing him fall in battle, making him swear his loyalty and help him search for his lost love. Isn't very intelligent, like most zombies, but has enough of a brain to follow the count. Was captured and put in a deep slumber alongside the others.
(Mimi pretty much looks the same)
Mimi; A witch apprentice that made one wrong spell and turned herself into a shapeshifter. Was chased out of her village until Count Bleck saved her from being burnt at the stake. Can still perform very few spells, but her form is very unstable. Was also captured and put into a deep slumber with the others.

Count Bleck; A purebred vampire who murdered the rest of his tribe when he discovered that his love was cursed and banished from the world. He traveled the world until some of the Flipside village folk hunted him down and cursed him, putting him into a deep slumber alongside his followers before he could possibly kill anyone else.

Dimentio; Unsure in origin but is a type of vampire. Before he joined the count's team, a mask had been strapped onto his face to prevent him from biting anyone, but the seal on the mask became loose after being placed in a deep slumber alongside the others.

Mr.L; A werewolf that has a completely separate identity from his host, but still in the same body. Though werewolves are natural enemies with vampires, he accepts to help the count regardless. He is the newest recruit and was not put into a deep slumber like the rest were.
Besides monsters, no one else has magic. Only people who have some sort of monster blood can use magic spells. So characters like Merlon, Merlee, etc. are just village elders who have lived a longer time than normal.
Also, this is more of an AU of SPM and the MANGA version of SPM. So there are gonna be a few alterations for those of you who haven't read the Manga SPM arc.
