Chaper 22

Adriano's pov

Me and Liam headed back to the Center where We would meet Lexi and the other men that were now on their way back just as we were.

I could picture her reaction in my head when she finds us all sitting there like nothing happened.

I smiled perhaps a bit too much.

"What you grinning at?" Liam asked

"Nothing" I dismissed him

"The bitch isn't it?" He playfully shoved my shoulder

"You know me too well" I pushed him back

"I've worked with you for years of course I do. I can read you like a book even backwards." He smiled to me

I shook my head smiling "not fully"

"Yeah not fully" he remembered all the times he'd asked me a question I found too personal to answer.

I'd tell him one day just not now, I did trust him he was working for me after all but I didn't even trust myself. My dad told me to keep myself as private as possible and I tried to stick to that as much as I could.

I blinked tightly cringing at the thought of my Father. I hated that man so much luckily he's gone now.

I sighed and looked to Liam who was whistling quietly his favourite song.

"Liam?" I asked

"Yes boss" he turned to me

"20" I answered with a smile

He looked at me confused.

"Number" I hinted again.

"Ohhh he smiled remembering the question he asked me last night and I dismissed of."

"That's a lot of people" he frowned

"Just business"

"Understandable" he replied.

He wouldn't dare go against my actions that's another thing I loved, I had so much power.
We were now almost at the Center...

Lexi's Pov

I was now approaching the Center where the game had began.

I entered and looked around, then only sound was the sound of the gentle Water from the water fountain. It was relaxing and peaceful but also scary at the same time being alone with just the sound of water dripping.

I walked over to where the men were sat before I ran off past the sunflowers and took a seat. I sat with both hands between my legs in an attempt to warm them up more.
I shivered realising how cold I actually was.
God I wish I brought a jacket or something with me.

Adriano's Pov

I remembered leaving this way when going to find lexi. My phone rang and I answered it.

"Boss keep your voice down I can see you but I can also see Lexi she's inside the Center got a plan B?" Casi asked me.

Fuck. I thought. She'd outsmarted us. Not going to lie, I was impressed.

I took a moment to think of possible ideas.

"Everyone block an entrance so she's trapped Then send Diesel first" I finally came up with.

"Got it boss" casi replied before hanging up.

"Liam left block it off" I ordered.

He nodded before walking off just as I ordered him to do so.
