I started to think I was being completely stupid and just overthinking as the silence was getting to me until I it happened once again...

The sound of a voice

It seemed to be getting closer

It was outside

I felt my breath hitch as the voice turned into multiple voices

'What on earth' I mumbled as I heard a light tap on the door

'I don't think anyone even lives here' the first unfamiliar voice explained

'Yeah someone probably was travelling and left this here, although this building style doesn't match anyone I know?' the second voice chimed

I removed my glasses putting my Google's on ready for anything

'Better to check hey it's in the boarders of our land so it could be a danger to us' A bubbly third voice called back and he seemed to knock once again

I stood on the other side of the door shaking slightly as I didn't risk even a breath

I heard a final knock as the second guy huffed out 'let's just go'

As he said that I leant my weight onto my back foot hearing the creak of the floor bored mentally facepalming

'Wait is there someone there' the first male called out a slightly American accent shining through

'Hey look whoever's in there we aren't going to hurt you or anything we didn't think anyone lived here' The second male said a British accent coming across

I hadn't recognised either of those two however the third seemed vaguely familiar

What's the worst that could happen, I have to fight? I would try my best no matter what the consequences are

I headed forwards to the door looking through the key hole

'Who are you?' My voice sounded all raspy as I hadn't spoke in a hot minute since being sick

'Oh wow didn't expect that, well my name is Scar, this here is mumbo and lastly that's-'

'Grian..?'

'Uhhhh how do you know who I am?' He laughed a noticeable hint of nerves

I unlocked the door swiftly all three men shocked as to me knowing him

'Oh wow it's really you' I spoke noticing the confusion on all threes faces

'Uh not to seem rude but how do you know me?' He said looking more confused now

'Oh uh yeah I met you at Mcc'

'Oh wow what's your name I might remember you'

'My name.. oh yeah it's Tommy'

'Tommy?'

'Yep' I coughed slightly scratching the back of my neck

'No you can't be we got wind that you were dead'

'How did you guys know about that?'

'There's were large screens put up in the centre of all the different servers that would show a feed of breaking news going on, you were on it for weeks' Grian said slightly shocked

'Uh yeah so you know, well..?' I began stumbling with my words Him seeming to notice my discomfort

'Hey Kid come here it's been too long' he embraced me which I hadn't expected at all causing me to flinch away awkwardly

'Sorry I haven't hugged anyone in a hot minute.' I mumbled turning back to my door taking a deep breath

I pushed down the unsettling feeling I still had lingering in the pit of my stomach and asked 'Uh well would you like to come in?'
