"ma, i'm home" i said closing the door behind me

"shit" i heard her say, probably trying to whisper

i followed her voice into the livingroom to see her boo'd up on the couch...with a man.

"uhh" i said confused

"how was your trip? i thought you guys were supposed to get back at nine"

"no no. we not bout to just skip past this" i said while staring at the nigga who couldn't be bothered by me walking in on them

"cato this is terrance. he's a...friend. terrance this is my son"

"sup" he nodded at me then turned his attention back to the game that was on

sup? how old is this nigga?

"i'm too tired for this shit. good night" i said turning to leave

"oh your friend is upstairs waiting on you" she said as i was walking away

friend? what friend.

"who?"

"i don't know. he said you told him to wait till you got back, he showed me the messages. i told him you wouldn't be back till later but he insisted. something wrong?"

"mom i don't have friends"

she sat up alarmed, yet her dude still couldn't give a fuck. she sure knows how to pick 'em.

"if i don't come down in a minute call the police"

"what? don't go up there—"

"it's fine" i said before heading up the stairs anyways

i swear to God it better not be who i think it is.

i wasn't exactly scared because i had a strong feeling as to who it would be. i mean who else would it be?

i opened the door to my room and there was a man sitting on my bed. lying on my bed is the better term for it. i can say he was not exactly who i was expecting, yet i'm sure i can take one guess as to who he is.

"jaleal?"

"kash was right, you are smart" he said as he sat up

"the man on my couch?"

"he works for me. he's been seeing your mom for the past few weeks. they're actually hitting it off real good. it'd be a shame if something were too happen"

i dropped my duffle bag then left my room to go back downstairs.

"i forgot i told my man's to come help me with the move, it's all good" i said to my mom who was waiting at the bottom of the stairs with a knife
