The Adventurous (HTTYD Hiccup x Reader)

A game for our live Pt.2

"Look at this. I feel violated." Fishlegs stated as he turned over at a bed.

"This is the last part of Viggo's plan." Hiccup told everyone, with sorrow laced through his voice.

"Lead us away from the Edge so the rest of the hunters in the armada can stay behind and come after the Dragon Eye." Snotlout yelled out in frustration.

"How did I not see that?" Hiccup questioned himself, I fake cough to alert him that I'm right next to him.

"Y/n... I'm sorry I didn't listen to you, you know Viggo's tactics better than anyone." He apologized, I took a deep breath as I knew I shouldn't lash out at him for something like this.

"It's okay, it's okay. Let's just go see if they got the Dragon Eye." I told him, my voice colder than I meant but I turned to walk to his hut anyway. However, before I could get too far Hiccup grabbed my wrist and pulled me back to him.

"I mean it Y/n. I should've listened but I thought I was smarter than him and for that, I am sorry for not listening to you." He said to me, I look into his eyes to see a compassionate, apologetic gaze looking at me.

I take a small breath out before looking up at him with a small smile.

"I know, I just sounded colder than I meant," I explained to him, his eyes lighted up a bit at my words.

"Now let's go see if they got the Dragon Eye," I told him, for the second time and we walk to his hut to see if they got the Dragon Eye.

I watch as Hiccup rummage through his chest with Snotlout, who joined us on the way, but he stopped and sighed.

"It's gone. They got it." Hiccup declared to us, I sigh as he gets up and turns to us.

"Are you sure you put it away after you got it back from the twins?" Snotlout asked him, causing me to look at him with confusion as I didn't hear of this.

"Got it back from the twins? What are you talking about?" Hiccup asked, apparently just hearing of this as well.

We go and follow the twins and Snotlout to a secluded cave on the island, Tuff had told us this was the Awesome Viking Cave Club Northeast. We all walk into the cave to see it has been completely wrecked, barrels were everywhere, there was a stuffed yak with an apple wedged in its mouth with a sword going through the said apple.

"Wow. They really wrecked this place." Hiccup muttered to himself, with Snotlout and Tuff looking at each other like they were two little kids in trouble.

"This is pretty much how we left it." Snotlout explained to everyone, except for Fishlegs and Ruff as they were here when this went down.

'Oh...'

"Except, I don't remember that sword being there!" Tuff yelled out while pointing to the sword in the apple that was in the yak's mouth.

"No, no, no, no. Remember, we were playing Pirates vs Vikings and Bjorn was the Pirate Captain?" Snotlout explained to him, reminding him why the sword was there.

"Oh right. Haha. That is one great game. Yeah, this is pretty much how we left it." Tuff told us before walking over to a pile of barrels.
He bent down and picked up the Dragon Eye from the pile, once he picked it up this black substance drips off it as the Dragon Eye was stained in the black substance. I recoiled back in disgust.

"What on earth is on there?" Hiccup asked him, more concerned about what was on the Dragon Eye than furious.

"Boar rind grease. Don't worry. It'll buff out." Tuff assured him before he spits on a bit of grease and rubs it on Ruff's tunic.
