The one question that has so much impact in one's emotions to falter. She was at the edge of breaking down, her knees felt weak and heart ached. "Come here" her eyes trailed to his open arms. A soft smile formed across her lips. Immediately she ran to him and jumped under the duvets cuddling into his warmth
A chuckle left his lips as he pulled her closer wrapping his arms around her. He kissed her forehead and began humming a song.
He knew that she may have trouble sleeping. I mean after everything that happened. She needed someone with her to keep her mind off the sad event that occurred. He was more than happy to be the one there for her.
"Jaemin...." he stopped humming and opened his eyes to be greeted by her doe ones gazing back at him. "You won't leave me will you?" she quietly mumbled. His heart distressed, feeling pity for the girl. She always seemed to lose people around her. Ones who hold a important place in her heart
First her father, then her mother. I mean even if she wasn't the best mother she was still family. Then her adopted parents and now her best friend. He understood that it had become a trauma for her. A haunting fear. Nightmare. Losing someone precious to her has become her weakness.
"I will never leave you Taeyeon. Never..."
Taeyeon shut her eyes and nuzzled her face into the crook of his neck. He was being serious and she could tell as soon as she heard him say her name which he barely does. Lightly she kissed his collarbone. "Thank you"
A warming feeling enlightened her body. Her heart skipped a beat, feeling lightweight. Knowing that she won't need to go through the heartbreak again. Grateful that she is present with his comfort and touch.

Like the 4 seasons, time flew by. That's how it felt but in reality it has only been 2 weeks. Not for Taeyeon, the empty space within her grew. It felt like it's been so long since Byeol left because she misses her so much. But only 2 weeks went by since her death.
Loud screams and laughter that echoed in the mansion had dissipated recently. Smiles were hard to find. It was a new day as the sun rose awake. The girl made her way to the kitchen, her brother flipping pancakes effortlessly. A warmth heated in her body, a smile internally forming when Taeyong switched the stove off to welcome his sister into a hug.
"How are you feeling?" his breath hit her hair softly. "Better than before" she shut her eyes tightly. For the past few days Taeyeon has been trying to stay a little happier. That's what Byeol would've wanted. "Good, here take this plate to the others." he handed her 2 plates of pancake mountains.
Just like he requested she made her way to the large table, greeted by the other members. As soon as her presence appeared Jaemin stood up to help her out. The girl gave a small smile showing appreciation to him. But it disappeared as soon as she couldn't see a certain person
"Is hyuck not here again?" Jaemin sighed and nodded. "Me and renjun tried to drag him down here but he isn't budging" Jeno informed the girl
Donghyuck hasn't been seen for many days. His room became a dark cave. The boy hasn't stepped out of the territory living like an old fashioned caveman. Taeyeon expected the boy to have finished sulking but she was wrong.
Honestly she was shocked by his behaviour, she expected herself to be the worst to take the sad news. Truthfully, compared to everyone Donghyuck has taken a strong hit, having difficulty and struggling to accept Byeol's death.
She was just like him in the first week and a half but she realised that sulking isn't going to do anything. It won't bring her back, and it's not what Byeol would want her to be doing. She starved herself, barely talking to anyone. She made a decision to become strong as that's what her best friend would've wanted.
"I'll go and try to bring him down" the girl took a plate of pancakes and made her way to his bedroom. As expected it was locked. She knocked and knocked while waiting. "Hyuck it's me" a long unwanted silence responded to her. A long exhale left her lips. The boy obviously wanted time to himself which she respectfully understood. She gently placed the food on the ground.
"I left breakfast at the doorstep. You haven't eaten for a long time Hyuck. I'm worried for you. I know it's a difficult time. It still is for me but I want you to know that what you're doing right now isn't what Byeol would want. So please eat. The food is still warm. I'll leave but don't starve yourself. I'm going now."
The girl stepped away and walked down the quiet hallway. She took a sharp left and hid behind the wall peeking. Hoping that the boy will come out. 3 minutes passed but there was no movement of the food. She was losing hope but her long awaited stake out came to an end when a click of an unlocking door was heard. Taeyeon bent lower, hiding her body. An arm reached out lifting the plate and within a second the door shut again. She couldn't see his face except for his bare arm. She wanted to see him, to check if he was sleeping well and still healthy. However, the girl was still delighted that the boy at least was eating.
"I'm guessing it worked seeing the smile on your lips" a voice spoke behind her. Before she could turn two arms wrapped around her waist pulling her back. His chin resting on her shoulder. "Somewhat. He is still shutting himself out."
"Leave him be, he will be back to himself after awhile" Taeyeon nodded and pulled away facing Jaemin. She latched onto his hand and looked straight in his dark pools. "After we eat, can you take me to Byeol?"

When they both entered the graveyard she kindly asked the boy to leave her alone with Byeol for a minute. To which he understood.
After he left Taeyeon turned to give all her attention to the girl. "Byeol look!!" She lifted her wrist. The bracelet shining in the sunlight. "I have my bracelet on. I was hoping you would've been wearing yours as well but then I went into your room this morning. I saw it on your desk." Taeyeon muttered, gripping onto Byeol's bracelet in her hand. The silver coating shines under the sunlight.
"You said to me a long time ago that as long as we have these bracelets with us, no matter what happens we will always be together. That's why we were able to meet one another again. But right now I have both bracelets and you left. I have no way of giving yours to you."
" What does that mean? Does that mean we won't be together?" her voice cracked, feeling a slight stab in her heart. She wanted to give it to Byeol but how could she, Byeol was buried in her grave. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
