Chapter 3 ~ Burned One

"She's banking my texts" Aisha said

"Strange, i wonder if it's because she poured her heart out to you and you called her a freak" Musa said

"Have you seen bloom" Aisha asked Stella

"Not recently" She replied

Musa looked at Stella

"Yes" Stella said looking up from her phone

"Your face looks so calm yet your racked with guilt" Musa said reading Stella

"You're a mind fairy" Aisha said

"A mind fairy?" Terra asked walking in "What's your connection memory, thou-"

"Not a great time" Musa said

"Is everything okay?" 

"Not really" Destiny said

"I'm looking for Bloom, for some reason Stella's feeling guilt about it" Aisha said

"Could everyone save the drama for drama club?" Stella said annoyed

"Wasn't she talking to Sky?" Terra asked

"And?" Stella said

"And, i know what happened to the last person who was talking to Sky. Destiny and I were here last year remember."

Destiny looked at Stella "Stella where's Bloom"

"She was feeling homesick, so i did a nice thing and i lent her my ring."

"Doesn't your ring only work outside the barrier?" Destiny asked

"Yes and there's a gateway in the old cemetery" Stella added

"That's deep in the forest Stella" Terra said "You know whats out there right?"

*skip to Bloom had just run away from the burned one

"Are you ok?" Aisha asked

Bloom turned around looking terrified

"Yeah yeah i think so. What the hell was that thing?" Bloom asked trying to catch her breathe

"They're called Burned ones they haven't been seen in over a decade" Destiny said

"wait where...wheres Stella?"

"She's at school why" Aisha said

"That thing just took her ring"

The girls looked around at each other and headed back to school

"I chained it up in a barn outside the barrier" Farah said to Saul

"You should have killed it"

"And left it in the Human World?"

"You should've brought it back here and then killed it" Saul sighed "Did it break your skin?"

"No i'm not infected. I've got Ben to make up some oil from the Zanbaq flowers in the greenhouse. I've dosed it. It won't be conscious for hours."

"Farah"

"I need to get in it's head. We need to know if this is an isolated incident or something more."

"Something more? Like what?" Saul asked

"I found Bloom in the First World our Bloom Saul."

Saul sighed "Bloom. How do you know shes been missing for 16 years."

"Yet there she was. taken 16 years ago right around the time the last Burned One was spotted"

"You think it's all connected"

Farah looked at Saul. "I'm struggling Saul." Something Farah hardly ever admitted. "Rosalind kept so much from us"

Saul put his hand on Farah face and looked into her eyes

"I'm worried about Destiny and Bloom they are strong they don't realise how strong yet but it won't be long until they do, until they find out the truth. I am worried about the students. The Alfea they know is very different from the one we attended. They have so much life to experience. Even if this world were safe what they're going through can feel impossible. But this world isn't safe and i don't know how long we'll be able to protect them from it. I know you feel it the.. shift. They've had order for so long they don't know what chaos feels like"

"They might soon" Saul said embracing Farah into his chest rubbing her head.

"We will know what to do we always do" He let go off her and lifted her up head up and kissed her lips soflty. "Come on you need sleep"
