"Class your next homework is to read the next two chapters and summaries what the quotes I have handed out to you mean." Hearing the assignment caused the class to whine. "Taeyeon I would like you to explain what you found for the first 3 quotes in the next lesson," the teacher said.

Taeyeon watched as she walked out and groaned in annoyance and hit her head on her desk. Dasom chuckled and patted the sulking girl's head, sympathising with her friend. The latter turned to face her and she pouted "I don't think she likes me" she complained

"I don't think she likes anyone" Hearing another voice she faced the intruder. Donghyuck had an amused smile planted on his face. "But I'm glad that she isn't targeting me," he said while grinning.

Taeyeon glared at him and turned away

I will just ask Mark for help. He knows English

"Yeon come along now, it's lunch" she felt a warm tingle on her hand. Donghyuck pulled her up gently and was about to lead her towards the canteen but the latter pulled her hand away leaving the boy in confusion. "I will join you later. I have somewhere I need to go" Donghyuck nodded and walked off with Dasom.

Taeyeon turned around and accidentally made contact with Jaemin's eyes which were already fixed on her. But he wasn't looking at her particularly. She followed his sight and it landed onto her hand. Suddenly he looked up at her from his seat and scoffed before walking out the classroom with both hands in his trousers.

Is there something on my hand? The naive girl questioned while searching around her hand as she walked out to her destination

The cold whispering breeze ruffled through her locks. Taeyeon took in the scenery on the rooftop garden. Her eyes trailed over the different buildings packed on the busy roads of Neo city all the way to the distant horizon. Her eyes fluttered shut taking in deep breaths as the wind blew against her bare face. The air was fresh and free.

Her mind was brought back to Jungwoo. She realised how much the members have done for her. Taeyong took her in and is her brother now. Hyuck is her best friend and is always there for her. Mark always sits beside her whenever she looks lonely and shares his precious watermelon. He never shares it with the other members and is protective over it. Chenle and Jisung are like younger brothers to her. Then there is Jungwoo....

Jungwoo...

Whenever Taeyong isn't around or he spots her he treats her like his younger sister. He brought her ice cream once because she was craving it. He walked out in the pouring rain to get her period pads because she couldn't find Taeyong to ask him. He did so much for her. Everyone did. The whole of NCT was always there for her. But what did she do?

Nothing

Guilt took over her. She felt small and vulnerable thinking about everything. She wants to be there like they all did for her. She wants to be there next to Jungwoo right now. He needs someone next to him.

A sudden warm presence approached beside her. Taeyeon opened her eyes, settling on the unexpected figure lurking over the ledge of the rooftop next to her. He stared far into the city not saying a word.

"Not smoking?" the girl asked, looking at the lollipop stuck inside his mouth.

He took it out "I can't because you're here" He ruffled his hair enjoying the feeling of the breeze slipping through. He turned and faced Taeyeon "That's why I replaced it with this" he tilted his head towards the lollipop in his grasp.

Taeyeon unknowingly smiled at him. She was taken aback that he actually cared about her health. She felt grateful for his mere actions, sending a warmth within her heart.

"Don't get high hopes. I'm only doing this because I would get in trouble with the Boss if he finds out that you had an asthma attack caused by me" he said monotoned. Taeyeon furrowed her eyebrows and clicked her tongue. Jaemin smirked and placed his hand into his pocket. He took another lollipop out and handed it to the girl. But Taeyeon reluctantly looked away.

Jaemin rolled his eyes and opened the wrapper then held the girls cheeks squishing them together. Her lips pouted outwards. "You look ugly" he deadpanned. Taeyeon groaned and slapped his hand away but he didn't let go. Jaemin placed the lollipop between her lips, shutting her up.

There was a silence between them. They both didn't say a word and watched as some migrating birds flew past. "Are you ok?"

"What?!" she turned, staring at him. Confused why he would ask about her wellbeing.

Jaemin faced down at the shorter figure who was already looking at him. She realised what he was talking about by the serious look on his face but she didn't answer.

Jaemin sighed and faced away from the girl "I know you're upset about Jungwoo. It's written all over your face. He is gonna be fine. We are all worried but he is strong. That's why we trust him and believe that he can make it through ..." Hearing his words felt like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders. The confidence that Jaemin showed also gave her hope.

She turned her body, paying all her attention towards the boy. He looked down at her . His eyes wandered around her face, taking in her features. ".... And he will be upset to see his cute little sister he stole from Boss sulking over him. So smile and stand straight for his sake. He doesn't give in so easily." with that said he spun on his heel and walked off the rooftop.

He cares about them as well! A smile formed across her face and she carried on enjoying her lollipop that Jaemin gave. The tangy lemon taking over her taste bugs.

A few seconds passed and she felt warm and her face turned red. She was thinking about what he just said and realised something. Did I mishear?

The blushing girl swayed her hands closer to her cheeks to calm down the heat.

Did he just call me cute?!
