Chapter Eleven: Tarnished Rep and abandonment

Brooklyn's POV (3 weeks later)

I walk downstairs with my siblings, it's been a few weeks since the scandal broke and everything has been worse in the house and at school, My Dad is harsher with his football training to the point where I pass out form running in the hot sun

School hasn't been good either with everyone looking at me with such disgust and Monica not even talking to me, I hate that she's mad at me but she doesn't believe me when I try and tell her that I didn't leak the photo, she even canceled our tutoring sessions

"Brooklyn I don't wanna face everything today p, even kids in my glee club are making fun of me and TJ can't keep defending me" Brandon says sadly as we walk out the house

"Yea and all of my friends are looking at me and treating me differently" Victoria says causing me to sigh and just get into the car

"Well guys, Dad decided to cheat after creating this stupid perfect family image for us" I say bitterly as I drive to school

"Well if you had told us we could have told mom together, now she's clueless while everyone looks at us like frauds" Victoria says and Brandon agrees

"Guy can you please not direct this bullshit that has happened to me, I only kept it to myself because Dad threatened me, what else was I supposed to do" I say in frustration

They haven't forgiven me for not saying anything to them about the affair and it's starting to piss me off

"Well how can we not be mad at you, you know we wouldn't tell on you" Brandon says with attitude

I scoff and just shake my head

"Both of you would have blown up and made it obvious, plus it's not like I wasn't going to tell you guys, I had to make a plan and it's deeper than you guys think" I say letting out a breath

"How is it deeper" Victoria says, I just stay silent cause them both to scoff and just look out the window

"Yet another secret" Brandon mumbles

The rest of the car ride is silent as the tension builds, they wouldn't understand and can't take all the information, plus Monica is already mad at me, I can't have her mad at me for another reason

We pull up to school and I park the car, Brandon and Victoria instantly get out and head in without me, I sigh and get out and lock the car before walking into the school

I walk straight to class, not even caring to stay in the hallway and take all the looks and stares from everyone, I sit down in my seat as the bell rings and class starts

Midway through class, the phone rings causing the teacher to stop and go over to the desk

"Umm Brooklyn, you are needed in the office" The teacher says

I nod and get up and take my bag with me before heading to the office, I wonder why she's here

I get into the office and see my mother and the principal who looks at me worriedly, I look at him weirdly then to my mother who is giving me a sympathetic look

"Hey baby, how's school" My mom says as she adjust her bag

"Hey mom....what are you doing here" I say slowly

She sighs and looks down before looking back at me sadly

"Sweetheart you know I love you right" She says as she rubs my arm and the principal goes back into his office

"Yea... I know" I say confused

"Well.........I'm leaving your father but I promise it has nothing to do with you or your siblings" She says quickly, my eyes widen as she gives me a smile
