Nara's POV

"Alright each pair goes sepearte ways inside this barn deal?" Hyunjin instructed from behind the bushes we were hiding in

we waited till it was past the curfew the principle set for us ; 10:00pm

we're supposed to be in our caves preparing to sleep for the next day, but we decided to pretend that we are and sneak out instead

rule number 2, broken.

we all met near the campfire area with our flashlights and followed the GPS track Jongho got and we eventually found ourselves infront of a barn.. how is this a prostitution place??

"the pairs are Hyunjin and I, Sanha and Eric, Sunwoo and Jee, Bomin and Nara" Jongho divided us and we nodded acknowledging his words "this mission is easy since we got 2 units of Seventeen locked, so there's just 1 unit left and we're gonna catch them all this time. Bomin and Nara, you guys can guard outside the barn since Nara has been training with Everglow, Itzy and Aespa" he clapped his hands as he completed explaining his plan

we all went to our assigned positions and Bomin and I stood there in silence

"Do you really love me" I asked out of the blue

ever since i learned about his ex, I couldn't help but feel un-confident.. it's feels like it's all been sucked away with a blink of an eye

"what are you even saying, you even doubt that?" he said inching closer so he stood right infront of me

"I- actually... doubt myself yes" I looked down at the floor not wanting to look him in the eye

"why is that?"

"you know first love is the only true love.. you're mine, but I'm not yours.." mumbled the last part hoping it slipped away from his ears, but it didn't

"look at me" he demanded. "I said, look at me" he was more serious than he even was and took be by surprise after cupping my face and making me look at him

he brushed his thumb across my wet cheeks stained by the few stray tears

"baby don't cry.." his gaze softened "if you're downgrading my feelings towards you by thinking that first love is the truest, the I guess I didn't love her in the past to start with. I love you so much it's unbelievable, even I don't know how deep the depth of my for you is..." he signed taking another deep breath. "after she died, I was traumatized. I distanced myself from all girls, fearing I'd fancy someone, but look at how you still barged into my life, and I've never been happier than I am now.. don't you get it? I threw my past and promises to be with you. I want to be with you." he finished still drying the tears on my cheeks

"I love you" that's all I managed to say.. my tongue felt tied and words no longer slipped

"I love you too" he said closing the gap between us

"aw sorry to interrupt your romantic kiss, but can you guys hurry? I need to kill both of you in like three minutes lolll" a tall man with defined features stood there infront of us with a sniper

Bomin without even thinking threw me behind him spreading his arms protectively infront of me

"oh how rude of me, I haven't introduced myself properly" he lowered his sniper straightening his composure. "I'm Wonwoo. In Mingyu's unit" he smirked.. "your other gangs got their hands on our other 2 units, but not mine. I'll make sure to make y'all go extinct" he laughed readjusting his sniper while taking long strides until he was facing me
