Later, Dani and Talbott went to the poetry section in the library, where Talbott said he last had his necklace.
"Most people are surprised I like poetry," said Talbott, casually flipping open a book.
"And Herbology."
"You just haven't had class with me yet, Dani. And by the way... Are these claw marks?"
Dani saw it too, once Talbott had pointed it out in the dark library floor. A trail of cat claw marks, dragging something along the floor.
"Let's follow them!"

The trail, though barely visible in dimmer areas, led them across the lower floor, up the stairs, along another hallway, until it stopped inside...
"Here to play another prank on me, are you? This time, I'm sending you to Dumbledore's office to get permission to shackle-"
"Mr. Filch, have you seen a necklace with a white feather somewhere?"
"Oh, I found it in the library the other day, and Mrs. Norris seems to have taken a liking to it..."
