I bow to the staff as they all left the room, leaving Mark and I alone. Mark's manager didn't know that Mark would be practicing a little longer, his manager made plans with his girlfriend and couldn't stay to watch us. He told Mark not to tell his boss and that he would leave us alone.

"Sorry I decided to keep you in here a little longer," I say, facing Mark.

He shakes his head, "It's fine. I do think we need to practice a little more."

Mark was wearing a beanie today. The weather got colder lately, since it's October. He looked so cute, a few stray of black hair was peeking out of his beanie. He wasn't wearing his glasses this time, instead, he opted for contacts.

Mark runs off to start the music and we start practicing.

When the song ended, I immediately squat down tiredly.

"Our timing is off," I say, breathlessly.

"Which part?"

"Like-" I swallowed, "-thanks," I mumble when Mark passes me his water bottle, "the chorus and the part where we hold each other. The ending too, it's a bit messy."

He nods, "let's practice without the music."

I quickly gulp the water down before standing up. We start from the first chorus, correcting the timing.

"Yeah, so it's 1, 2, then, 3, and 4, and we separate ways," I tell him, letting go of his hand when we separate ways.

We continue after the first chorus to the dance break after the 2nd chorus.

Mark places his hand on my exposed skin. His touch was gentle, I felt comfortable, somehow. I looked ahead in the mirror.

I couldn't help but think at how good we looked together. I'm never one to be conceited, but when I looked into the mirror, our height was perfect. Mark's chin was right next to the top of my head, his broad chest was covering the top half of my body. We looked good together.

"So, we go, 1, 2, 3, 4, and we turn," I say.

"I think it looks a bit awkward if we look at the audience," Mark says. We were still holding each other. Neither of us wanted to let go. Maybe, I just didn't want to let go.

"What do you suggest?" I ask

"Maybe like-" he starts. I did the biggest mistake that anyone could do- turn to face him.

Oh my god. I could feel my heart beating like crazy.

I couldn't help but gulp at our extremely close proximity. One small push and our lips would touch.

I could smell him. He smelled nice, and... natural? I'm not too sure of what this scent is, but it made me feel like I was at home.

It was only now that I realised how genuinely handsome Mark is. The little freckle on his cheek made him look cuter than he already was. His doe round eyes were slightly hooded, I could sense how nervous he was from the slight redness taking over his fair skin.

"Yeah?" I whisper.

I notice that his eyes was scanning my face and, I started feeling embarrassed that he was staring at my lips. I press my lips together out of awkwardness. Just as I was about to push him away, Mark speaks up.

"Can I kiss you?" Mark mutters, his gaze never left my mouth.

My heartbeat increased its pace as my eyes lingered on his pink lips. How did I only realise how pretty his lips were. It was so plump, he must've put lip balm over it because I noticed the shine layering his lips.
